TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Proposed Change in Hastings District Scheme Approved
PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations
1960, public notice is hereby given that the proposed change
in the district scheme, under the Town and Country Planning
Act 1953, for Hastings, relating to the rezoning of Lot Number
134 on Deeds Plan Number 83, situate in Heretaunga Street
East, Hastings, from “Residential B” to “Commercial C” was
approved by the Council by resolution passed at its meeting
held on the 26th day of February 1964 after all objections,
appeals, and arbitrations relating to the scheme had been
disposed of, and the proposed change in the scheme did not
have to be amended following the disposal of all objections,
appeals, and arbitrations relating thereto and no amendments
of the proposed change in the district scheme were required
by the Board.
The Council has also resolved that the proposed change in

NELSON CITY COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Departure From Operative Scheme
PUBLIC notice is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of
the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, and its amendments,
and of the regulations made thereunder, that the Town and
Country Planning Appeal Board, by order dated the 14th
day of February 1964, gave consent to a departure from the
operative district scheme of the City of Nelson to the extent
indicated hereunder.
By permitting the applicants to use that land situate at
Putaitai Street, Stoke, being Lots 11 and 12 on Deposited
Plan 5248, and being all the land comprised and described
in certificate of title, Volume 127, folio 114, Nelson Registry,
as Commercial “C”, notwithstanding that the land is at present
zoned Residential “B”. The land is, however, not rezoned.

ELLESMERE COUNTY COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Public Notice Inviting Proposals for Ellesmere County District Scheme
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Ellesmere County
Council, at its meeting held on the 17th day of February
1964, has resolved to prepare for the County a district
scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and
Country Planning Act 1953.
Every person concerned and every local authority in the
district, as defined by section 2 of the Act, is hereby invited
to submit full information as to the proposals (including
public works) which, in his or its opinion, should be con-
sidered in the preparation of the scheme.
Proposals, marked “Ellesmere County District Scheme”,
should be addressed to the County Clerk and delivered at the
Clerk’s office, Leeston, or at our office, Dalgety’s Building,
22 Cathedral Square, Christchurch, on or before the 29th
day of June 1964.

SOUTH CANTERBURY HOSPITAL BOARD
CHARITABLE TRUSTS ACT 1957
PURSUANT to section 36 of the above Act notice is hereby
given that an application under the above Act has been filed
in the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Timaru by the
South Canterbury Hospital Board for the approval of a
scheme varying the charitable purposes for which certain
trusts or bequests are held by the said Board. The bequests
are the John Jackson bequest, Thomas Madden bequest,
James Mulholland bequest, and the Mary Rosina Stevenson
bequest.
The said Board is seeking the approval of the Supreme
Court of New Zealand to a scheme whereby the said capital
and income of each of the said bequests will be held by the
Board for the general purposes of the Board, but until
used for the general purposes of the Board the bequests
are to remain in separate accounts in the Statement of Ac-
counts of the Board.
Details of the said bequests and scheme may be inspected
at the office of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at
Timaru during office hours.
The said application will be heard by the said Court at
Timaru on Tuesday, the 28th day of April 1964, at 10 a.m.
Any person desiring to oppose the scheme must give written
notice of his intention to do so to the Registrar of the said
Court, at Timaru, and to the under-mentioned solicitors, Messrs
Perry, Hudson, Gresson, and Richards, Beswick Street, Timaru,
and to the Attorney-General for New Zealand, care of the
Crown Law Office, Wellington, not less than seven clear days
before the 28th day of April 1964.
