Declaring an Area of Land in the Southland Acclimatisation District to be a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge in the Southland Acclimatisation District for the purposes of the said Wildlife Act 1953.


SCHEDULE

THAT part of Section 81, Block V, Waiau Survey District, north of a line being the south boundary of Section 39, Otahu Settlement, produced across the said Section 81: Area, 495 acres, more or less.
Part certificate of title, Volume 78, folio 8.

As shown on plan numbered I.A. 46/29/397 and deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Revoking part of a Proclamation Declaring Land in the Gisborne - East Coast Acclimatisation District as a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 10th day of December 1956, and published in Gazette, 10 January 1957, No. 1, page 10, proclaiming and declaring land in the Gisborne - East Coast Acclimatisation District (now Rotorua Acclimatisation District) to be a wildlife refuge for the purpose of the said Wildlife Act 1953 in so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE

ALL that land in the City of Gisborne containing an area of 5 acres, more or less (Waiteata Park), bounded by a line commencing at the southernmost corner of part Lots 47 and 48, D.P. 1630; thence south-westerly along the north-western side of Richardson Avenue for a distance of 998·7 links; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern side of Russell Street for a distance of 500·7 links; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundaries of Lot 6, D.P. 1747, Lot 1, D.P. 4385, Lot 9, D.P. 1747, to the south-western boundary of part Lots 47 and 48, D.P. 1630; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of part Lots 47 and 48, D.P. 1630 aforesaid, to its southernmost corner, the point of commencement.

As the same is shown on plan marked I.A. 52/287 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Revoking and Redeclaring Land in the Southland Land District as a Wildlife Refuge in the Southland Acclimatisation District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 5th day of November 1963 and published in the Gazette, 14 November 1963, No. 74, at page 1835, notifying and declaring an area of land to be a wildlife refuge, and hereby proclaim and declare that area of land described in the Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of the said Wildlife Act.


SCHEDULE

FIRSTLY (property of Alliance Freezing Co.), Sections 53, 55, 56, 57, and 58, Block XIV, Invercargill Hundred: Area, 100 acres, more or less. All certificates of title, Volume 153, folio 188, and Volume 55, folio 148 (S.O. Plan 1732).

Secondly (property of A. R. Henry), Section 52, Block XIV, Invercargill Hundred: Area, 20 acres, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 26, folio 207 (S.O. Plan 1732).

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a rubbish-tip site and shall vest in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Heathcote as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 2nd day of March 1964.
