A plan of the variation to the district scheme as recom-
mended by the Council has been deposited at the municipal
and branch libraries and at the Council Chambers.
Objections to the recommended variation of the district
scheme zoned thereon may be made by way of written notice
on form E prescribed in the First Schedule of the Town and
Country Planning Regulations 1960 or to the like effect
marked “Objections to the district scheme” and lodged at the
office of the Council not later than noon on Friday, the
31st day of January 1964. At a later date every objection
will be open for public inspection. Any person who wishes
to support or oppose any objection will then be entitled to
be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town
Clerk in writing within a period of which public notice will be
given.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given, pursuant to a resolution of the
Council on the 16th day of December 1963, that:
(1) The land at No. 7 Edgeware Road at present zoned
“Residential B” be rezoned “Commercial B”.
(2) That Lot 69 of Deposited Plan 18035 in Clausen Street
at present zoned “proposed reserve” be rezoned “Resi-
dential A”.
Plans of the above variation to the district scheme as recom-
mended by Council have been deposited at all Municipal
Libraries and at the Council Chambers.

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Palmerston North City
Council is to apply to the Town and Country Planning Appeal
Board, pursuant to section 35, of the Town and Country
Planning Act 1953, for permission to depart from the pro-
visions of Council’s Operative Planning scheme on the follow-
ing matters.
To permit in a Commercial “B” area on the corner of
Broadway and Princess Street a subdivision having one lot
with a 43 ft frontage instead of the required 45 ft and each
of the 3 lots having an area of 15·3 perches instead of the
required 16 perches.
Any person or persons objecting to or supporting the
proposals or requiring modification thereto, must submit his
or their objections in writing to the Council by 4 p.m. on the
9th day of January 1964.

HASTINGS CITY COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Public Notification of Change in Hastings City District
Scheme
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that pursuant to a resolution of
the Hastings City Council made on the 26th day of September
1963, a change of the above district scheme has been recom-
mended for approval under the Town and Country Planning
Act 1953.
The change relates to a rezoning of Lot No. 134 on Deeds
Plan No. 83, situate in Heretaunga Street East, Hastings. It is
the intention of the Council to change the zoning of this lot
from “Residential B” to “Commercial C.”
Details of the change in the scheme have been deposited in
the office of the Council and in the Public Library in Karamu
Road South, Hastings, in accordance with section 22 (1) of
that Act and is there open for inspection, without fee, to all
persons interested therein at any time when the above places
are open to the public. Objections to the change in the said
scheme or to any part thereof shall be made in writing in form
E described in the First Schedule to the Town and Country
Planning Regulations 1960 and shall be lodged in the office of
the Council at any time not later than the 12th day of
February 1964.
At a later date every objection will be open for public
inspection and any person who wishes to support or oppose
any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of the
objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within the
period of which public notice will be given.

Public Notification of Variation to District Scheme
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to resolutions of
the Ashburton Borough Council made on 16 December 1963,
the following variation has been recommended for approval
under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
The variation relates to proposed addition to code of
ordinances forming part of the Ashburton Borough District
Scheme, ordinance 9, Industrial “A” Zone Conditional Uses.
Subclause (c) to read as follows:
(c) Floor area in excess of 5,000 sq.ft. for any of the
predominant uses.
A copy of the code of ordinances of the Ashburton Borough
District Scheme embodying the proposed amendment has been
deposited in the Municipal Chambers, Havelock Street, Ash-
burton, and the Public Library, Havelock Street, Ash-
burton, in accordance with section 22 (1) of that Act, and
is there for inspection, without fee, to all persons interested
therein at any time when the above places are open to the
public.

PAHIATUA BOROUGH COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Departure From Operative District Scheme
PUBLIC notice is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of the
Town and Country Planning Act 1953 and its amendments
and of the regulations made thereunder, that the Town and
Country Planning Appeal Board, by order dated 27 August
1963, gave consent to a specified departure from the operative
district scheme of the Borough of Pahiatua to the extent indi-
cated hereunder.
By permitting a specified departure from the provisions of
the Pahiatua Borough Council’s Operative District Scheme by
permitting the land described in the Schedule hereto to be
used for the purposes defined in the Council’s code of ordin-
ances under “Industrial C” notwithstanding that the said land
is at present zoned “Reserve for recreation and open space”.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land containing one rood (1 rood), more
or less, being that part of Lot 206 on Deposited Plan 377 im-
mediately adjacent to the land known as Vincent Terrace and
being part of Section 20 of Block VIII, Mangahao Survey
District, and being part of the land comprised and described
in certificate of title, Volume 178, folio 248 (Wellington
Registry).
