WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
Redemption Loan No. 1, 1963, £4,400

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waitemata County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“Whereas the sum of £5,000, borrowed by the Waitemata County Council under the authority of the Water Supply Development Loan 1958, £130,000, for water supply reticulation purposes, is due and payable on the 1st day of March 1964, and whereas the sinking funds in respect of the said loan amount to only £600 and the sum of £4,400 is required to pay for the said loan, now therefore, the Waitemata County Council, in exercise of the powers vested in it by that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, hereby resolves:”

“(a) To borrow the sum of £4,400 for the purpose of paying for the said loan.

“(b) That the said sum of £4,400 shall be payable on the 1st day of March 1974, or such earlier date as may be determined by Council.

“(c) That for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on Redemption Loan No. 1, 1963, £4,400, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·066d. in the pound (£) on the rateable value of all rateable property within the Te Atatu Riding; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and payable yearly on the 1st day of June of each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Waitemata County Council on 28 November 1963.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Redemption Loan No. 2, 1963, £4,900

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waitemata County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“Whereas the sum of £7,000 borrowed by the Waitemata County Council under the Parakai Special Area Water Supply Loan 1952, £7,000, for water reticulation purposes is due and payable on the 1st day of March 1964, and whereas the amount repaid in respect of the said loan amounts to only £2,100, and the sum of £4,900 is required to pay for the said loan, now therefore, the Waitemata County Council, in exercise of the powers vested in it by that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, hereby resolves:

“(a) To borrow the sum of £4,900 for the purpose of paying for the said loan.

“(b) That the said sum of £4,900 shall be payable on the 1st day of March 1979, or such earlier date as may be determined by Council.

“(c) That for the purpose of providing interest, principal, and other charges on the said loan of £4,900, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2·34d. in the pound (£) on the rateable value of all rateable property within the Parakai Water Supply Special Area; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and payable yearly on the 1st day of June of each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Waitemata County Council on 17 December 1963.

HAWKE’S BAY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 the Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twenty thousand pounds (£20,000) authorised to be raised by the Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on its maturity part of the fifty thousand pounds (£50,000) Reticulation Loan 1953, the said Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of seven one-thousandths (7/1000ths) of a penny (d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property within the constituent districts of the County of Hawke’s Bay, the Boroughs of Havelock North and Taradale, the City of Hastings, and within that portion of the City of Napier as at present constituted which on the 6th day of July 1925 was included in the County of Hawke’s Bay; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off”.

TAUPO BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
Hydro-Electric Generation Loan (1963) £145,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taupo Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one hundred and forty-five thousand pounds (£145,000) authorised to be raised by the Taupo Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a hydro-electric generating station on the Hine-maiaia River, the said Taupo Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one decimal nought nought seven pence (1·007d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Taupo, comprising the whole of the Borough of Taupo; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Taupo Borough Council at a meeting held on 16 December 1963.

WHANGAREI HARBOUR BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whangarei Harbour Board hereby resolves:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £225,000 authorised to be raised by the Whangarei Harbour Board under the above-mentioned Act and in terms of the Whangarei Harbour Board Vesting and Empowering Act 1962 for the purposes of subdividing land £73,500, dredging and equipment and work incidental thereto, £109,500, providing final payment on two workboats £18,000, providing part cost of motor vehicle and cargo ferry terminal £4,000, refunding the Harbour Fund Account in terms of section 7 of the Whangarei Harbour Board Vesting and Empowering Act 1962, £10,000, and contingencies £10,000, the said Whangarei Harbour Board hereby makes a special rate of point three seven five pence (·375d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Whangarei Harbour district comprising the Borough of Whangarei, the Town Districts of Kamo and Hikurangi, and the County of Whangarei, excepting out of such county that portion thereof comprised in the Waipu River District as defined in Proclamation published in the Gazette on the 1st day of March 1900; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was passed at an ordinary meeting of the Whangarei Harbour Board held on the 28th day of December 1963.

MOUNT ROSKILL BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
Pensioners Flats Loan, 1963, £29,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £29,000 authorised to be raised by the Mount Roskill Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for acquisition of land, site development, and building of 18 single and two double pensioners’ flats, the said Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought three nought three eight pence (·03038d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Roskill; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being for a period of forty (40) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
