Roads Excluded From Speed Limitation, Closely Populated Localities, and Limited Speed Zone Declared
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:
- That the Warrants under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 dated the 31st day of March 1958* and the 25th day of September 1959† and the Warrant under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 dated the 11th day of September 1963‡ which relates to roads in Levin Borough and in Horowhenua County adjacent to Levin Borough are hereby revoked.
- The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
- The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
- The road specified in the Third Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956§.
FIRST SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Levin Borough:
No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (from the southern boundary of Levin Borough to a point 32 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said State highway from the said boundary; and from the northern boundary of Levin Borough to a point 34 chains measured south-westerly generally along the said State highway from the said boundary).
