Council hereby makes a special rate of 1·26d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Te Puke Borough, comprising the whole of the borough; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 28th day of February and the 28th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

HENDERSON BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Fire Appliance Loan 1962 of £4,700
THE following resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Henderson Borough Council held on the 30th day of January 1963:
“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Henderson Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the loan of £4,700 authorised to be raised by the Henderson Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing a new fire appliance, the said Henderson Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one three five pence (0·135d.) in the pound on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Henderson; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off; and that such special rate is hereby permanently appropriated and pledged as security for the purpose of securing the said loan of £4,700 and interest thereon at the rate of five and three eighths per cent (5⅜%) per annum. Further, that the Mayor and the Town Clerk be authorised to sign and issue under seal debentures, certificates, and other documents required by the lenders in respect of the said loan of £4,700.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Waterworks Storage Dam Redemption Loan 1963, £55,800
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of fifty-five thousand eight hundred pounds (£55,800) authorised to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Waterworks Storage Dam Loan 1948 of £71,000 which matures on 1 April 1963, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes a special rate of one hundred and fourteen thousandths of a penny (0·114d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Palmerston North City Council on the 4th day of February 1963.

Pensioners’ Cottages (Raleigh Street) Loan 1962, £11,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimairi County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £11,000 authorised to be raised by the Waimairi County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting accommodation for aged persons, the said Waimairi County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·03618d. (pence) in the £ (pound) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the County of Waimairi; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Raglan County Council proposes under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 to take for a stream diversion the portion of land described in the Schedule hereto.
A plan of the portion of land proposed to be taken is open for public inspection at the office of the Raglan County Council, Great South Road, Ngaruawahia, during 40 days from the date of the first publication of this notice. All persons objecting to the proposal must lodge their objections in writing at the office of the Council on or before the 20th day of March 1963.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land containing 10·5 perches situated in Block VI, Karioi Survey District, South Auckland Land District, being part Lot 2, Deposited Plan 11514, being part Allotment 50, Whaingaroa Parish; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 6689 (S.O. 40906) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow, edged yellow.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and in the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Lower Hutt City Council, being a local authority within the meaning of the Public Works Act 1928, proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute certain public works, namely, recreation grounds, pleasure grounds, and public offices in the City of Lower Hutt, and in connection with the purposes of such public works the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken, marked TP 14/3/1, is deposited in the offices of the Council, Administration Building, Laings Road, Lower Hutt, and is there open for inspection by all persons without fee during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of the said lands or any of them who have any well grounded objection to the execution of the said public works or to the taking of the said lands or any of them should state their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk at the above address.
