Adding Land to Arthur's Pass National Park

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 10 of the National Parks Act 1952, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares
that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, as from
the date hereof, be added to and form part of the Arthur's
Pass National Park, and shall hereafter be managed, adminis-
tered, and dealt with by the Arthur's Pass National Park
Board in accordance with the provisions of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Tawera
County, containing 3,735 acres, more or less, bounded by a
line commencing at the confluence of the Poulter River and
Mt. Brown Creek, Block VII, Hawdon Survey District, and
proceeding south-westerly up the middle of Mt. Brown Creek
to its source on the eastern boundary of Arthur's Pass
National Park, as described in the Fourth Schedule of the
National Parks Act 1952; thence northerly, north-easterly,
and south-easterly generally along that boundary to the middle
of the Poulter River; thence southerly down the middle of
that river to the point of commencement. As shown on the
plan marked L. and S. 4/633B deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon
edged red.

PURSUANT to the Fire Services Act 1949, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
As on and from the 1st day of February 1963 the numbers
to be elected to represent the Councils of the Borough of
Tawa and the Borough of Porirua on the Board of the Porirua
United Urban Fire District shall be two, who shall be elected
in the following manner:
(a) One member by resolution of the Tawa Borough
Council;
(b) One member by resolution of the Porirua Borough
Council.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1961,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
makes the following order.
ORDER
- That on and from the 1st day of April 1963 the area
described in the Schedule hereto is hereby included in the
Kaikoura River District. - That the boundaries of the Kaikoura River District as
so altered shall be as defined in the Second Schedule hereto. - That the alteration of the boundaries of the said district
hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected
under the River Boards Act 1908.
FIRST SCHEDULE
AREA INCLUDED IN KAIKOURA RIVER DISTRICT
ALL that area of land in the Kaikoura County, in Blocks VI
and XIII, Mt. Fyffe Survey District, containing 803 acres,
more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the north-
western corner of Section 2, Kaikoura Suburban Registration
District, in Block VI, Mt. Fyffe Survey District, and proceed-
ing north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of
Sections 2, 3, and 4, Kaikoura Suburban Registration District,
to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section
56, Kincaid Run, Kaikoura Registration District; thence north-
westerly to and along that boundary to the north-western
corner of the said Section 56; thence north-easterly and south-
easterly, along the north-western and north-eastern boundaries
of the said Section 56, and the production of the last-
mentioned boundary to the northern boundary of Section 6,
Kaikoura Suburban, in Block VI, Mt. Fyffe Survey District;
thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of the
said Section 6 and its production across a public road, and
the north-western boundaries of Sections 7 and 8, Kaikoura
Suburban Registration District, to the north-eastern corner
of the said Section 8; thence south-easterly along the north-
eastern boundary of the said Section 8 and its production to
the south-eastern side of a public road; thence north-easterly
