Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Temuka Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,000 authorised to be raised by the Temuka Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing footpaths, the Temuka Borough Council makes a special rate of 1 4/100 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property within the Borough of Temuka; and that the special rate be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 12 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Notice is hereby given that at a meeting held on 20 November 1963 the Ohakune Borough Council resolved:

“That, pursuant to sections 25 and 47 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and for the purpose of providing for payments of interest and principal on the Reticulation Renewal Loan 1963, the Ohakune Borough Council hereby makes and levies and appropriates and pledges a special rate of 4 1/8d. (four and one eighth pence) in the pound on the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, of all rateable property in the Borough of Ohakune; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of August on each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years or until such loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Streets Reconstruction Loan 1963 of £68,400
The following resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Henderson Borough Council held on the 2nd day of December 1963:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Henderson Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the loan of £68,400 authorised to be raised by the Henderson Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of improving streets and footpaths in the Borough, the said Henderson Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one decimal one seven five pence (1·175d.) in the pound on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Henderson; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off; and that such special rate is hereby permanently appropriated and pledged as security for the purpose of securing the said loan of £68,400 and interest thereon at the rate of 5 1/4 per cent per annum.”

Drainage Additional Loan 1962
The following resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Waimate Borough Council held on Tuesday, 20 November 1962.

“That the Waimate Borough Council appropriates and pledges as security for the Drainage Additional Loan 1962, £4,250, a special rate of decimal two four six pence (0·246d.) in the pound on the rateable value (based on the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Waimate.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Memorial Town Hall Improvement Loan 1963, £2,500
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Tuakau Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £2,500 authorised to be raised by the Tuakau Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making improvements to the Memorial Town Hall, the said Tuakau Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of point three one two pence (0·312d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Tuakau; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Tuakau Borough Council held on 4 December 1963.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

New Plymouth City Renewal Loan 1963
That pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the New Plymouth City Council hereby resolves:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the New Plymouth City Renewal Loan 1963 of £145,000 authorised to be raised by the New Plymouth City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying the balances of the first issue of the Waterworks Loan 1953 of £78,000, the first issue of the Sewerage Extension Loan 1953 of £31,000, and the first issue of the Streets Improvement Loan 1953 of £36,000, which will remain unpaid at the date of maturity, i.e., 20 January 1964, the New Plymouth City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal four hundred and seventy-five pence (0·475d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the City of New Plymouth; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the New Plymouth City Council at a properly convened meeting held on 8 October 1963.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

Notice is hereby given that the Waiheke Road Board proposes to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a new public road; and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the said Board situated in Belgium Street, Ostend, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must set out their objections in writing and send same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Clerk at his office aforesaid.
