WHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Whakatane County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute the public work hereunder mentioned and for the purposes of which public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the office of the said Council situated at The Strand, Whakatane, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Clerk of the said Council at the said office.
SCHEDULE
4 acres 2 roods 5·5 perches, more or less, being part Lot 264B 2C 2B of the Parish of Waimana, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 44, folio 117 (South Auckland Registry), as more particularly shown coloured yellow on Plan No. S.O. 42381.
The above land is situate on the Wainui Road near Ohope in the County of Whakatane and is required for rubbish disposal purposes.

FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
IN the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Featherston County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the realignment and widening of a public road; and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.
And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the public office of the Clerk of the said Council, situate at Kitchener Street, Martinborough, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Kitchener Street, Martinborough.

BALCLUTHA BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, notice is hereby given that the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Balclutha, a body incorporate constituted under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, to take, in the manner provided by the Public Works Act 1928, for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of a street within the Borough of Balclutha the lands described in the Schedule hereto; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said land is deposited at the offices of the Balclutha Borough Council, Clyde Street, Balclutha, and may be inspected there at any time during office hours.
All persons affected shall, if they have any well grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth in writing such objections and deposit same, within forty (40) days from the 20th day of November 1963 (being the date of the first publication of this notice), at the offices of the Balclutha Borough Council, Balclutha.

PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the City of Hastings, taken on the 9th day of November 1963, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of £30,000 to be known as the Vehicle Testing Station Loan 1963 for the purpose of the purchase of land, erection of a building, and provision of equipment for a municipal vehicle testing station resulted as follows:

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.
