Pursuant to the Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Act 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and on the petition of not fewer than two-thirds of persons who have associated themselves into a society for the objects referred to in that Act, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- This order may be cited as the New Zealand South Dorset Down Sheep Breeders’ Association Incorporation Order 1963.
- The society known as the New Zealand South Dorset Down Sheep Breeders’ Association and all such persons as shall hereafter be admitted members of that society agreeably to the rules of the Society and the Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Act 1908 are hereby incorporated, in accordance with that Act, under the style of the New Zealand South Dorset Down Sheep Breeders’ Association.

Reconstituting the Esk Rural Fire District

Pursuant to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- This order may be cited as the Esk Rural Fire District Order 1963.
- This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
- This order revokes and is in substitution for the Order in Council dated the 1st day of April 1953 and published in the Gazette, 9 April 1953, Vol. I, page 586.
- In this order, unless the context otherwise requires—
The “Act” means the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955;
The “Committee” means the Esk Rural Fire Committee constituted by this order;
“District” means the Esk Rural Fire District.
CONSTITUTION OF ESK RURAL FIRE DISTRICT
- The area specified in the First Schedule to this order is hereby constituted and declared to be a rural fire district to be known as the Esk Rural Fire District.
- The trees and other plants on lands described in the Second Schedule to this order are hereby specified as the property for the protection of which the district is constituted.
- The period between the 1st day of October in any one year and the 30th day of April in the following year (both days inclusive) is hereby declared to be a closed fire season in the district.
- The Esk Rural Fire District shall, for the purposes of the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955, be administered by a rural fire committee, which shall be known as the Esk Rural Fire Committee.
REGULATIONS
- The Rural Fire Committee Regulations 1949 shall, so far as they are applicable and with the necessary modifications, apply to the Esk Rural Fire Committee constituted by these regulations; and these regulations shall be deemed to be special regulations for the purpose of those regulations.
MEMBERS
- The Committee shall consist of six members as follows:
(a) The Conservator of Forests, Palmerston North;
(b) The Forest Service District Ranger, Napier;
(c) The Officer-in-Charge, Esk State Forest;
(d) One person appointed by Hawke’s Bay Forests Ltd. by writing signed on behalf of that company by one director and the secretary thereof;
(e) One person appointed by Rukumoana Farm and Forests Ltd. by writing signed on behalf of the company by one director and the secretary thereof;
(f) One person appointed by Robert Holt and Sons Ltd. by writing signed on behalf of that company by one director and the secretary thereof.
FIRST SCHEDULE
HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY, ESK RURAL FIRE DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Hawke’s Bay County, containing approximately 36,100 acres situated in Blocks V, VI, VII, IX, X, XI, XIII, XIV, and XV, Maungaharuru Survey District, Blocks I, II, and III, Puketapu Survey District, Block XVI, Pohue Survey District and Block IV, Patoka Survey District and bounded generally as follows:
Commencing at the junction of the Otakowai Stream with the Esk River in Block III, Puketapu Survey District; thence
