NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL
Pursuant to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the special rating area on the Tahunanui Hillside, known as Area "A", taken on the 19th day of October 1963, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of £33,500 to be known as the Tahunanui Special Area Loan 1963 for the purpose of providing storm-water drainage and other works to stabilise the Tahunanui Hillside, including investigation and assistance in providing private and common private drains and the purchase and planting of reserves, resulted as follows:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was ..... 83
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 130
The number of informal votes was ..... Nil
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

CITY OF NEW PLYMOUTH
COMBINED AREA DISTRICT SCHEME
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to regulation 32 (8) of the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, that, by decision dated the 2nd-day of October 1963, the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board consented to the application of Riddick Brothers and Still (Holdings) Ltd. for a departure under section 35 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, from the above district scheme for its property off Tukapo Street.
The substance and effect of the consent is to allow the applicant company to use the land now designated for "Hospital" purposes as "Industrial B", subject to all the conditions as specified in the Council's Code of Ordinances as relevant to an Industrial B Zoning.
The full description of the land is shown in the said application which, together with the plans mentioned therein, may be inspected; without fee, at any time during office hours at the Town Clerk's office, Liardet Street, New Plymouth.

CENTRAL AREA DISTRICT SCHEME
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to regulation 32 (8) of the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, that, by decision dated the 2nd day of October 1963, the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board consented to the application of Kirby's Metal Pressing Works Ltd. for a departure, under section 35 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, from the above district scheme for its premises in Devon Street.
The substance and effect of the consent is to allow the applicant company to erect buildings to cover up to 90 per cent of the site.
The full description of the land is shown in the said application which, together with the plans mentioned therein, may be inspected, without fee, at any time during office hours at the Town Clerk's office, Liardet Street, New Plymouth.

MATAURA BOROUGH COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Public Notification of Mataura Borough Council District Scheme
Public notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Mataura Borough Council made on the 9th day of October 1962, a district scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The scheme relates to the whole of the Borough of Mataura. The scheme has been deposited in the offices of the Mataura Borough Council in accordance with section 22 (1) of that Act and is there open for inspection, without fee, to all persons interested therein at any time when the above place is open to the public.
Objections to the scheme or to any part thereof shall be in writing in form E prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960 or the like and shall be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than 5 p.m. on Friday, 7 February 1964. At a later date
every objection will be open for public inspection, and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within the period of which public notice will be given.
