THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the Franklin County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought seven eight pence (0·078d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Franklin; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year until such loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Franklin County Council held on the 21st day of October 1963.

WAITOMO ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Renewal Loan 1963 of £24,000
PURSUANT to section 47 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, as amended by the 1959 and 1961 Amendment Acts, the Waitomo Electric Power Board hereby resolved as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £24,000 authorised to be raised by the Waitomo Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Reticulation Loan 1953 which matures on the 1st December 1963, the said Waitomo Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of four twenty-fifths of one penny (4/25d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Waitomo Electric Power District and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

THE POVERTY BAY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of fifty-one thousand pounds (£51,000) authorised to be raised by the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of redeeming at maturity the outstanding liability in respect of a portion (£35,000) of the Extensions Loan 1952 of £150,000 and the outstanding liability in respect of a portion (£50,000) of the Extensions Loan (East Coast) 1953 of £150,000, the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of two seventy-firsts of a penny (2/71d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in that portion of the Poverty Bay Electric Power District as is contained in the Cook County (including the Patutahi Town District), Waikohu County, Uawa County, Waiapu County, and the City of Gisborne, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is duly paid up.”

VINCENT COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Building Loan 1961 (£22,000)
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Vincent County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £22,000, authorised to be raised by the Vincent County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting new council offices in Clyde (including the demolition and removal of the present building, and the provision of furnishings, heating plant, etc.), the said Vincent County Council hereby makes a special rate of one-eighth of a penny (¼d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the special rating area comprising the whole of the County of Vincent; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Vincent County Council held on the 26th day of September 1963, and confirmed at a meeting of the Council held on the 24th day of October 1963.

ST. KILDA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Notice of Confirmation of Special Order Authorising Raising of Elderly Persons Housing Loan 1963, £22,000
THE St. Kilda Borough Council at a special meeting convened for the purpose and held on Wednesday, 2nd day of October 1963, passed a resolution to operate as a Special Order to raise a special loan of £22,000 for the purpose of erecting flats for pensioners in the Central Battery site, Victoria Road, St. Kilda. It also makes provision for the appropriation and pledging of a special annual-recurring rate of 0·2583d. in the pound (£) as security for interest on the said loan and for the repayment thereof. The term of the loan will be 30 years and will be repaid by half-yearly instalments of principle and interest. The loan will be raised by the issue of debentures with interest at the rate of 3½ per cent.
The said resolution was submitted to a special meeting of the St. Kilda Borough Council, held on the 2nd day of October 1963, for confirmation as a Special Order.

MARTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION PLEDGING RATE
Water Filter Loan 1962
PASSED at a meeting of the Council held on 22 October 1963.
“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1954 and its amendments, the Marton Borough Council hereby resolves for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £7,000 described as the Water Filter Loan 1962 authorised to be raised by the Marton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting part of the cost of installing a micro-strainer and the necessary buildings and fittings at the water filters, the said Marton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·372 pence in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Marton; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable in yearly instalments on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being for a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £200,000 authorised to be raised by the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of further reticulating the Board’s electric power and gas districts and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments and by all other powers and authorities it thereunto enabling, the said Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board hereby makes a special rate of one hundred
