Act 1953. The scheme relates to the Borough of Matamata.
The scheme has been deposited in the office of the Council
and public library in accordance with section 22 (1) of that
Act and is there open for inspection, without fee, to all
persons interested therein at any time when the above places
are open to the public.

Objections to the scheme or to any part thereof shall be
in writing in form E prescribed in the First Schedule to the
Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960 and shall be
lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later
than 4 p.m. on Friday, 13 December 1963. At a later date
every objection will be open for public inspection, and any
person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will
be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he
notifies the Town Clerk in writing within the period of which
public notice will be given.

NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF CLASSIFICATION LIST

Classification Under Soil Conservation and Rivers Control
Act 1941 of Land in the Otago Catchment District

NOTICE is hereby given:

(a) The land in the part of the Otago Catchment District
described in the Schedule hereto has been classified under
the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941 and the
classification is deemed a valid classification as from the date
on which this notice is first published, namely the 24th
day of October 1963.

(b) The proportions in which rates are to be imposed
under that Act on the several classes of land are as follows:

Class A 20
Class B 15
Class C 12
Class D 9

Class E 5
Class F 2
Class U1 3

(c) The classification list includes an apportionment by the
Valuer-General of the rateable capital value of the land in
those cases where portions of a piece of land are classified
in different classes.

(d) The classification list may be inspected at the office of
the Milton Borough Council, Milton, during a period of 28
days hereafter.

(e) The classification list is deemed to be a special roll of
ratepayers for the purposes of the Local Authorities Loans
Act 1956.

(f) Any person who is dissatisfied in respect of any matter
appearing in the classification list has the rights of appeal
provided for by section 103 of the Soil Conservation and
Rivers Control Act 1941, as substituted by section 18 of the
Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Amendment Act 1959,
which rights, and any other right to commence proceedings
affecting the classification, must be exercised within 49 days
hereafter. Appeals will normally be made to a Magistrate’s
Court, but appeals in respect of the method of making or of
the form or validity of the classification as a whole may be
made to the Land Valuation Court only.

(g) The classification has been made by Basil William
Peryman.

(h) Copies of the instructions given by the board to the
classifier and of the resolutions of the board relative to the
classification may be inspected at the place and during the
period specified in paragraph (d) of this notice.

COMMENCING at a point on high-water mark of the Pacific
Ocean on the prolongation of the south-western boundary of
Section 10, Block XV, Coast Survey District, and proceeding
thence in a north-westerly direction across Crown land, and
a road, and along a road forming the south-western boundary
of Section 10 aforesaid, to and across a road and again
along a road forming the south-western boundary of Section
10 aforesaid, and of Sections 2 of 24, 1 of 24, and 23,
Block IV, Kaitangata Survey District, to and across a road,
and again along a road forming the south-western boundaries
of Sections 22 and 21 in the aforementioned block and
district, to and across a road, and again along a road forming
the southern boundary of Section 17, Block IV, Kaitangata
Survey District; thence along a road forming the southern
and western boundaries of Sections 2 of 35 and 1 of 35,
Block III, in the aforesaid district, and again along a road
forming the south-western boundary of Section 11, to and
across a road and along a road forming the south-western
boundaries of Sections 2 of 12 and 13, all in Block I,
Kaitangata Survey District, to the western corner of Section 13
aforesaid, then across a road and along a road forming the
south-western boundary of Section 3s, Tokoiti Settlement,
to the south-western corner thereof; thence in a south-
westerly direction across a road and along a road forming
the eastern boundaries of Sections 25 and 24, Block I, and
Section 1 of 39, Block II, Kaitangata Survey District, to the
south-eastern corner thereof; thence in a north-westerly direc-
tion along the south-western boundary of Section 1 of 39
aforesaid to a point thereon at the intersection thereof with
the eastern boundary of Section 24, Block II, Kaitangata
Survey District; thence in a south-westerly direction across
a road, and along the south-eastern boundary of Section 24
aforesaid to the south-eastern corner thereof; thence in a
westerly direction along the southern boundary of Section 24
aforesaid, to and across a road, and again along the southern
boundary of Section 24 to the south-western corner thereof;
thence in a north-westerly direction, along a road forming
the south-western boundaries of Sections 24 and 23, Block II,
Kaitangata Survey District, to the western corner of Section 23
aforesaid; thence in a north-westerly direction along the
north-eastern boundary of a road intersecting Sections 5,
4, and 3, Block II, Kaitangata Survey District, to and across
a road to a point thereon on the south-western boundary
of Section 15, Block XXXVII, Tokomairiro Survey District,
on the prolongation of the north-eastern boundary of the
aforesaid intersecting road; thence in a north-westerly direc-
tion along the north-eastern boundary of a road forming
the south-western boundaries of Sections 15 and 7, Block
XXXVII, Tokomairiro Survey District, to the western corner
of Section 7 aforesaid; thence in a south-westerly direction
across a road and along the south-eastern boundaries of
Sections 14 and 15, Block XXXVII, Tokomairiro Survey
District, to the southern corner of Section 15 aforesaid;
thence in a north-westerly direction along the south-western
boundary of Section 15 aforesaid, to and across a road and
again along the south-western boundary of Section 16,
Block XXXVIII, in the aforesaid district to the western
corner thereof; thence in a north-easterly direction along
the north-western boundaries of Section 16 aforesaid and

in a north-easterly direction and along a railway reserve
and a road forming the north-western boundaries of Sections

in the aforesaid district to a point on the western boundary
of Section 2 of 9 aforesaid on the prolongation of the
north boundary of a road forming the southern boundary
of Lot D, D.P. 1725, Block XXXIX, Tokomairiro Survey
District; thence in a north-westerly direction across a road
and a railway reserve to the south-eastern corner of Lot D,
D.P. 1725 aforesaid and again in a north-westerly direction
along a road forming the southern boundary of Lot D,
D.P. 1725 aforesaid, to and across a closed road and a
road, and along a road forming the southern and western
boundary of Lot A, D.P. 1725, Block XLIV, Tokomairiro
Survey District, to the north-western corner thereof and
again in a north-westerly direction across a road to the
eastern corner of Section 5 in the aforesaid block and
district; thence generally in a westerly direction along the
northern boundary of a road intersecting Section 5 aforesaid
