In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and Northland Trenchers Ltd. (in liquidation).
The liquidator of Northland Trenchers Ltd., which is being wound up voluntarily, doth hereby fix the 8th day of November 1963 as the day on or before which the creditors of the company are to prove their debts and claims, and to establish any title they may have to priority under section 308 of the Act, or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved, or, as the case may be, from objecting to such distribution.

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 362 of the Companies Act 1955, that by means of an entry in its minute book, dated 14 October 1963, the members of the company resolved, by way of extraordinary resolution:
“(1) That by reason of its liabilities the company cannot continue in business and that it be wound up.
“(2) For the purpose of the winding up, Claude Leslie Hickey, public accountant, of Mount Maunganui, be appointed liquidator of the company at a fee in accordance with the scale of the New Zealand Society of Accountants.”
Notice is further given, pursuant to the provisions of section 284 of the Companies Act 1955, that a meeting of the creditors of the company will be held at the Cabana Lounge, Maunganui Road, Mount Maunganui, on Thursday, 24 October 1963, at 2 p.m.

WAIKATO CARBONISATION LTD.

In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of Waikato Carbonisation Ltd., a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Huntly.
NOTICE is hereby given that an order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, dated the 29th day of August 1963, confirming the reduction of the capital of the above-named company from £53,333 6s. 8d. to £33,333 6s. 8d. and the minute approved by the Court showing, with respect to the capital of the company as altered, the several particulars required by the above-mentioned Act, was registered by the Registrar of Companies on the 4th day of October 1963. The said minute is in the words and figures following.
“The amount of share capital of Waikato Carbonisation Ltd., as altered by the order of the Supreme Court confirming the reduction of the share capital of the company, is thirty-three thousand three hundred and thirty-three pounds, six shillings, and eight pence (£33,333 6s. 8d.) divided into 80,000 shares of 8s. 4d. each and that, from the date of registration of this minute, the amount of 8s. 4d. is deemed to be paid up on each share.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
Hornby Development Loan 1963, £40,000
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Paparua County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £40,000, to be known as the Hornby Development Loan 1963, authorised to be raised by the Paparua County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of constructing kerbing, channelling, and footpaths in Hornby County Town, the said Paparua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·1577 pence in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) on all rateable properties comprised within the boundaries of the Hornby Riding; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of one hundred and seventy-seven thousand eight hundred pounds (£177,800) to be known as the Redemption Loan (No. 8) 1963, £177,800, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Drainage Loan 1955, Waterworks Loan 1953, Waterworks Feeder Mains Loan 1956, and Works Depot Loan 1953, which mature on 1 November 1963 and 1 December 1963 and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-third of one penny (⅓ of 1d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of Auckland City comprising the whole of the City of Auckland, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

MOUNT EDEN BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
Balmoral Road Loan 1962, £43,000
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Mount Eden Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £43,000 authorised to be raised by the Mount Eden Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for carrying out the upgrading of the existing carriageway in Balmoral Road, the said Mount Eden Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of four decimal three five five pence (4·355d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Eden; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Mount Eden Borough Council held on 15 October 1963.
