Licensing the Gore Boat and Water Ski Club (Inc.) of Gore
To Use and Occupy a Part of the Bed of Lake Wakatipu at
Kingston as a Site for a Causeway, Rock Jetty, Launching
Ramp, and Ski Jump
Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine
hereby licenses and permits the Gore Boat and Water Ski
Club (Inc.) of Gore (hereinafter called the licensee, which
term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context
requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part
of the bed of Lake Wakatipu at Kingston, as shown on plan
marked M.D. 11218 and deposited in the office of the Marine
Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining
thereon a causeway, rock jetty, launching ramp, and ski jump
as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and
enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and
conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS
- This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so
far as applicable, apply hereto. - The term of the licence shall be one year from the lst
day of September 1963. - The premium payable by the licensee shall be £3 and
the annual sum so payable £5.

Amendment of Foreshore Licence Authorising the Lane
Motor Boat Co. Ltd. to Use and Occupy a Part of the
Foreshore and Bed of the Tamaki River at Panmure as a
Site for a Slipway
Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine
hereby amends the licence of 16 April 1962, licensing the
Lane Motor Boat Co. Ltd., to use and occupy a part of the
foreshore and bed of the Tamaki River at Panmure as a
site for a slipway by inserting after the word “slipway”,
wherever it appears the words “and jetty” and after the
symbols “M.D. 8685” the symbols “and M.D. 11600”.

Notice Respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries of the
Borough of Howick and the County of Manukau
It is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to
His Excellency the Governor-General, pursuant to section
12 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, praying that the
areas described in the Schedule hereto be excluded from
the County of Manukau and included in the Borough of
Howick. All persons affected who object to the proposed
alteration of boundaries are hereby called upon to lodge
any objections to, or petitions against, the proposed alteration
with the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington, within one
month from the date of publication of this notice.
SCHEDULE
All that area in the North Auckland Land District, Manukau
County, containing 690 acres, more or less, bounded by a
line commencing at the intersection of the southern side of
Pakuranga Road with the left bank of the Pakuranga Creek
in Block III, Otahuhu Survey District, and proceeding
easterly along the said roadside to the north-eastern corner
of Allotment 4, Section 2, small farms near Howick, as
shown on D.P. 11021; thence south-easterly generally along
the boundary of the Borough of Howick as described in
Gazette, 1960, page 1060, to the north-western side of the
Howick-Manurewa road; thence south-westerly along that
roadside to the southernmost corner of part Allotment 10,
Pakuranga Parish, as shown on Deeds Plan 179; thence north-
westerly along the south-western boundary of the said allot-
ment to and south-westerly and north-westerly along the
generally south-eastern boundaries of Allotments 11 and 84
and the south-western boundary of the last-named allotment
to the eastern side of Botany Road; thence northerly along
a right line crossing the said road to the junction of the
western side of that road with the northern side of Cascades
Road; thence westerly along that roadside to and northerly
along the left bank of the Pakuranga Creek to the point of
commencement.

Scheme of Control of the Gisborne High Schools
Pursuant to section 92 of the Education Act 1914, the
Minister of Education hereby revokes the approval of the
scheme of the control of the Gisborne High School, published
in the Gazette of 15 July 1915, Volume II, page 2430, and
approves of all schools for the time being under the control
of the Gisborne High Schools Board being controlled in
accordance with the Standard Scheme of Control for
Secondary Schools 1961:*
Provided that:
(a) Clause 10 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if
the words “in the first week of the month of May”
were omitted, and the words “in the first week of
the month of July” were substituted therefor.
(b) Clause 20 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as
if the words “1st day of June” were omitted, and
the words “1st day of August” were substituted
therefor.
(c) Clause 29 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if
the words “in the month of June in each year”
were omitted, and the words “not later than the
month of April in each year” were substituted
therefor.
(d) The Standard Scheme shall be read as if clause 18
were revoked, and the clause numbered 18, set out
in the Schedule hereto, were substituted therefor.
SCHEDULE
Clause to be substituted for clause 18 of the Standard
Scheme:
“18. Except in the case of a casual vacancy every member
shall hold office until the 31st day of July in the third year
after the year of his election or appointment, and if on that
31st day of July the appointment or election of his successor
has not been notified to the Board, he shall continue to
hold office until the date on which that appointment or
election is so notified:
Provided that every member of the Board in office on the
lst day of July 1963 shall hold office until the 31st day of
July in the year 1964, whether or not that is the third
year after the year of his appointment or election.”

Claims by Victims of Nazi Persecution in Austria
The Minister of External Affairs has been informed that the
Austrian Government is now accepting claims from persons
eligible to apply for awards from the Second Austrian Aid
Fund (HILFSFONDS). The closing date for lodgment of
claims with the Austrian Government in Vienna is 31
October 1963.
Any person in New Zealand who might qualify for com-
pensation should write directly to the Austrian Legation,
P.O. Box 5, G.P.O. Canberra, for further information, or to
Fonds zur Hilfeleistung an Politisch Verfolgte, Taborstrasse
4-6, Vienna, Austria.
It is understood that awards will be made for occupational
or professional damage suffered as a result of Nazi persecution
and for damage caused by the termination or interruption for
more than three and one-half years of occupation (profes-
sional) or pre-occupational (pre-professional) training.
Awards will be made to persons persecuted “on political
grounds whatever their nature (inter alia, also because of
origin, religion, or nationality)”.
Persons who were Austrian citizens on 13 March 1938,
or who, during a period prior to 13 March 1938, had their
uninterrupted place of domicile and permanent residence in
the territory of the Republic of Austria, may apply for
awards under the fund. In addition, persons who on 13
March 1938, possessed German nationality and emigrated from
Austria because of political persecution may also apply.
