ALL that area in the Otago Land District bounded by a line commencing at Heyward Point and proceeding south-easterly along a right line to Taiaroa Head; thence generally in a south-westerly direction along the mean high-water mark of the ocean to the mouth of the Taieri River; thence in a north-westerly direction along the north-eastern boundary of the Town of Hull (Taieri Mouth) and Blocks XI and I, Clarendon Survey District, and Blocks XXI, XXII, and XXIII, Waihola Survey District, to the shore line of Lake Waipori; thence generally westerly and north-easterly along the aforesaid shore line and its production to the middle of the Waipori River; thence generally north-westerly along the middle line of the aforesaid river to a point in line with the middle line of Shawβs Hill Road; thence westerly to and along the middle line of the aforesaid road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 2 of 28, Block II, Maungatua Survey District; thence westerly along a right line to trig. H on the southern boundary of Block IX, Waipori Survey District; thence north-westerly along a right line to trig. W, Block IX aforesaid; thence northerly along a right line to trig. D, Block IV, Waipori Survey District; thence north-easterly along a right line to trig. E, Block V, Waipori Survey District; thence easterly along a right line to trig. Q, Block XI, Maungatua Survey District; thence north-easterly along a right line to the trig. at Silver Peak (Pulpit Rock) on the northern boundary of Block X, Silver Peak Survey District; thence easterly and southerly along the northern and eastern boundaries of Block X aforesaid to trig. U (Green Hill), thence following the boundary of the North East Valley Riding to the south-west corner of Section 36, Block 2, North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District; thence via the southern boundary of Block 1 of the North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District, to the north-western corner of Section 1, Block 6, North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District; and proceeding due south along the western boundary of the said Block 6 to the south-western corner of Section 2, Block 6, North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District, to and across a road: thence generally easterly along a line 10 chains south of Heyward Point Road to the eastern boundary of Section 67, Block 5, North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District, thence northerly to the sea coast at Heyward Point, the point of commencement. As the said area is shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 596 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington and thereon outlined in red.

Appointing Members and Chairman of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Council
BERNARD FERGUSSON, Governor-General
WHEREAS by Warrant dated 2 July 1961 and published in Gazette, 12 July 1962, Volume II, page 1113, Arnold Edwin Clark, Esquire, A.M.I.C.E., of Wellington, was appointed as the officer of the Ministry of Works to be a member of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Council:
And whereas the said Arnold Edwin Clark, Esquire, by Warrant dated 2 July 1963 in Gazette, 4 July 1963, No. 40, page 910, was appointed to be Chairman of the said Council:
And whereas the said Arnold Edwin Clark, Esquire, has retired from the Ministry of Works and consequently resigned from membership of the said Council and as Chairman thereof:
And whereas it is desired to reappoint the said Arnold Edwin Clark, Esquire, to be a member of the said Council and to be Chairman thereof:
And whereas it is desired to appoint Harry Lancelot Hume, Esquire, to be a member of the said Council as the officer of the Ministry of Works thereon:
Now, therefore, pursuant to sections 3 and 4 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
Arnold Edwin Clark, Esquire, A.M.I.C.E., of Wellington, registered civil engineer, and
Harry Lancelot Hume, Esquire, B.E., B.SC., M.I.C.E., of Wellington, registered civil engineer, as the officer of the Ministry of Works,
to be members of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Council, and I do hereby appoint the said Arnold Edwin Clarke, Esquire, to be Chairman of the said Council.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 11th day of October 1963.
