NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Auckland City Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act,
to execute a certain public work, namely, street widening,
and for the purpose of such public work the land described
in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, and notice
is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required
to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk
at the Town Hall, Auckland, and it is open for public
inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office
hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of such land who have well grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to the
taking of the said land must state their objections in writing
and send the same within 40 days from the first publication
of this notice to the Town Clerk, Town Hall, Auckland.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land containing approximately 4·2 perches,
more or less, being part Allotments 5, 6, 7, and 8, Section
38, Town of Auckland, and being part of the land in certificate
of title, Volume 514, folio 61, Auckland Registry; as the
same is more particularly shown on a plan recorded in the
office of the Director of Works and City Engineer at the
Town Hall, Auckland, under No. 10297/50 BKU/395.

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Tauranga County
Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works
Act 1928, to take for the purposes of a public reserve the
portion of land described in the First Schedule hereto and
to take for the purpose of a public road the land described
in the Second Schedule hereto. A plan showing the portions
of the land proposed to be taken is available for public
inspection at the office of the Tauranga County Council,
Barke's Corner, Cameron Road, Tauranga, during 40 days
from the date of the first publication of this notice. All
persons affected by the taking of the land and having well
grounded objections thereto are hereby called upon to set
forth their objections in writing and send the same to the
office of the Tauranga County Council on or before the 14th
day of November 1963.

proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act,
to execute a certain public work, namely, the taking of land
for road in the County of Thames, and for the purposes of
such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given
that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited
in the public office of the County Clerk of the said Council,
situated in Mary Street, Thames, and is open for inspection
without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of such land who have any well
grounded objections to the execution of the said public work
or to the taking of the said land must state their objection in
writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first
publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council
Chambers, Mary Street, Thames.

four perches (1 r. 7·4 p.), more or less, being part Lot 1,

TAKAPUNA CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL
PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act
1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of
Takapuna City central off-street parking special-rating area,
taken on the 2nd day of October 1963, on the proposal of
the above-named authority to raise a loan of £125,000 to be
known as the "Takapuna Central Off-street Parking Loan" for
the purpose of purchasing and developing property in Central
Takapuna to provide off-street parking, resulted as follows:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 48
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 38
The number of informal votes was Nil
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

THE MINING ACT 1926
APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE FOR A WATER RACE
NOTICE is hereby given that by application No. 49 of 1963,
in the Warden's Court at Cromwell, David Gordon Nash
Blakely of Upper Taieri-side, farmer, has applied for a
water-race licence to authorise the diversion of 3 heads of
water from Stoney Creek from a point 500 yards east of the
Puketoi Runs Road, and to convey the same for a distance
of 140 chains across his freehold land being part Run 623,
Upper Taieri Survey District, in an easterly direction.
The application will be heard on Wednesday, the 13th
day of November 1963, at 10 a.m., at the Warden's Court
at Cromwell, and all objections thereto must be filed in the
Registrar's Office and notified to the applicant, whose address
for service is at the offices of Messrs Stevens, Gilbert, and
Co., Solicitors, M.L.C. Building, Princes Street, Dunedin, at
least three days before the said date of hearing.
