Plant Declared Noxious Weed in the County of Horowhenua
(Notice No. Ag. 7860)

Pursuant to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 and
to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture under section
9 of the Department of Agriculture Act 1953 for the purposes
of the said section, the following special order, made by the
Horowhenua County Council on the 14th day of August 1963,
is hereby published.

SPECIAL ORDER
THAT, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 3
of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Horowhenua County
Council hereby resolves by way of special order that the
plant mentioned in the Schedule hereto is a noxious weed
within the County of Horowhenua.

SCHEDULE
Sedge (Carex longebrachiata also known as Carex longifolia).

Plant Declared Noxious Weed in the County of Eketahuna
(Notice No. Ag. 7861)

Pursuant to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 and
to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture under section
9 of the Department of Agriculture Act 1953 for the purposes
of the said section, the following special order, made by the
Eketahuna County Council on the 9th day of August 1963, is
hereby published.

SPECIAL ORDER
RESOLVED that nodding thistle (Carduus nutans) be declared
a noxious weed within the County of Eketahuna by way of
special order and in accordance with section 3 of the Noxious
Weeds Act 1950.

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in the County of Waikohu
(Notice No. Ag. 7863)

Pursuant to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 and
to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture under section
9 of the Department of Agriculture Act 1953 for the purposes
of the said section, the following special order,
made by the Waikohu County Council on the 16th day of
September 1963, is hereby published.

SPECIAL ORDER
RESOLVED, by way of special order pursuant to section 3 of
the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the plants scheduled hereunder,
being plants included in the First Schedule of the said Act,
be declared noxious weeds within the whole of the area from
time to time included in the County of Waikohu. The special
order shall come into force on the 1st day of October 1963.

SCHEDULE
Barberry (Berberis vulgaris), Barberry (Berberis darwinii),
Bathurst burr (Xanthium spinosum), Blackberry (Rubus
fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus), Boxthorn (Lycium
ferocissimum syn. Lycium horridum), Cape tulip (Homeria
collina), Common broom (Cytisus scoparius), Gorse
(Ulex, any species), Hawthorn (Crataegus oxyacantha
and Crataegus monogyna), Hemlock (Conium macula-
tum), Lupin (Lupinus arboreus), Milk thistle or varie-
gated thistle (Silybum marianum), Nassella tussock
(Nassella trichotoma), Nodding thistle (Carduus nutans),
Prickly pear (Opuntia monacantha), Ragwort (Senecio
jacobaea), St. John's wort (Hypericum perforatum), Star
thistle (Centaurea calcitrapa), Sweet brier (Rosa eglan-
teria syn. Rosa rubiginosa), Thorn apple or jimson weed
(Datura stramonium), Tutsan (Hypericum and rosae-
mum), Water Hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes), Wild
teasel (Dipsacus sylvester).

Plant Declared Noxious Weed in the County of Wairoa
(Notice No. Ag. 7862)

Pursuant to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 and
to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture under
section 9 of the Department of Agriculture Act 1953 for the
purposes of the said section, the following special order,
made by the Wairoa County Council on the 13th day of
August 1963, is hereby published.

SPECIAL ORDER
Pursuant to the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950,
the Wairoa County Council hereby resolves and declares, by
way of special order, that the plant mentioned in the schedule
hereto be and the same is hereby declared to be a noxious
weed in the whole County of Wairoa within the meaning
of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950.

SCHEDULE
Nodding thistle (Carduus nutans).

Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954--Proposed
Cancellation of Registration of Industrial Union

Pursuant to section 85 of the Industrial Conciliation and
Arbitration Act 1954, it is hereby notified that the registration
of the Dunedin Fur Trades Employees' Industrial Union of
Workers, Registered No. 1477, situated at 145 Rattray Street,
Dunedin, will, unless cause to the contrary is shown, be
cancelled on the expiration of six weeks from the date of
the publication of this notice in the Gazette.
