Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation for a roadman’s cottage site over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Reservation of Land and Declaration that Land be Part of the Pohangina Valley Domain

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for recreation purposes and further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, declares the said reserve to be a public domain subject to the provisions of Part III of the last-mentioned Act, to form part of the Pohangina Valley Domain to be administered as a public domain by the Domain Board.

Reservation of Land and Vesting in the Opotiki County Council

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for esplanade purposes and further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Opotiki, in trust, for that purpose.

Proclaiming Land as Road in the District of Avarua, Rarotonga, Cook Islands

PURSUANT to section 607 of the Cook Islands Act 1915, the Minister of Island Territories hereby proclaims as road the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Scheme of Control of Northland College

PURSUANT to section 92 of the Education Act 1914, the Minister of Education hereby revokes the approval of the scheme of control of Northland College published in the Gazette of 16 July 1953, Volume II, page 1151; and approves of Northland College being controlled in accordance with the Standard Scheme of Control for Secondary Schools 1961:*

Provided that:

(a) The Standard Scheme shall be read as if the following additional clause were inserted therein as clause 8A—

“8A. The appointment of the members to represent the Federated Farmers of New Zealand (Auckland Province) Inc. and the Western Tribal Executive No. 3 Zone shall be made by resolution passed by those bodies in the month of May in each year in which the term of office of members is due to expire in terms of clause 18 hereof. The name of every member so appointed shall be notified to the Board in writing by the Secretary of the body before the 1st day of June following the meeting at which the resolution was passed.”

(b) Clause 15 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if the words “or by the Federated Farmers of New Zealand (Auckland Province) Inc. or by the Western Tribal Executive No. 3 Zone” were inserted after the words “(or jointly by two or more such Councils)”.
