Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be deemed to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 22nd day of January 1963.

ALL that piece of land containing 1 acre 32·3 perches situated in the City of Hastings, Hawke’s Bay R.D., and being Lots 52 to 58 (inclusive) and 65, D.P. 10755, part Heretaunga Block.

Town and Country Planning Act 1953—Gore Borough District Scheme (Notice of Extension of Period of Effectiveness of Refusals and Prohibitions)

PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 38 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the period of effectiveness of each refusal or prohibition made by the Gore Borough Council in the interests of the Gore Borough District Scheme, which refusal or prohibition but for this notice would expire between the date of public notification hereof and the 1st day of October 1964 inclusive, is hereby extended to the said 1st day of October 1964.

Town and Country Planning Act 1953—City of Tauranga

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to section 20 (1) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, approval has now been granted to the Tauranga City Council to prepare, recommend, and approve its district scheme by three sections as follows:

  1. Tauranga-Judea-Otumoetai Section: described in the First Schedule hereto.
  2. Greerton - Gate Pa Section: described in the Second Schedule hereto.
  3. Hairini-Maungatapu Section: described in the Third Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

TAURANGA CITY DISTRICT SCHEME (TAURANGA-JUDEA-OTUMOETAI SECTION)

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Tauranga City, bounded by a line commencing at peg IX, D.P. 25114, at the intersection of the eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 25114, with the line of mean high water on the shore of the Tauranga Harbour in Block IX, Tauranga Survey District, and proceeding northerly along the shores of the said harbour, to and across the East Coast Main Trunk Railway, and again generally northerly and easterly along the shores of the said harbour, to and south-westerly along the shores of the Waikareao Estuary, to its intersection with the north-eastern boundary of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway, aforesaid; then south-easterly along the last-mentioned boundary to its intersection again with the shores of the Waikareao Estuary; then generally northerly along the shores of the said estuary, to and southerly along the shores of the Tauranga Harbour to the southernmost corner of Allotment 887, Section 2, Town of Tauranga, in Block XIV, Tauranga Survey District; then westerly along a right line across Turret Road to the shores of the Waimapu River Estuary; then generally north-westerly and south-westerly along the said shores to the intersection of the northern boundary of Lot 93, D.P. S. 2174; then north-westerly to and along that boundary, and the generally south-western and north-western sides of Courtney Street, to and north-westerly along the south-western side of Twenty-second Avenue, south-westerly along the south-eastern side of Cameron Street to a point in line with the south-western side of Twenty-third Avenue; then north-westerly along a right line across Cameron Street, to and along the said south-western side of Twenty-third Avenue, the south-western and western sides of Cook Street, and the south-western side of Faulkner Street to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 49, Suburbs of Tauranga; then northerly along a right line across Faulkner Street to and north-westerly along the north-eastern side of the said street and its production to the middle of the Kopurererua Stream; then generally northerly down the middle of that stream to a point in line with the southernmost boundary of Lot 64, D.P. ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Tauranga City, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the northern boundary of Lot 93, D.P. S. 2360, with the line of mean high water on the shores of the Waimapu River Estuary; and proceeding southerly along the said shores, and the left bank of the Waimapu River to the southernmost corner of Lot 3, D.P. S. 1358; then south-westerly along a right line across Oropi Road to the southernmost corner of part Allotment 36, Te Papa Parish; then northerly, north-westerly, and south-westerly along the eastern, north-eastern, and north-western boundaries of Allotment 34, Te Papa Parish, and the north-western boundary of Allotment 33, Te Papa Parish, to the easternmost corner of Allotment 31, Te Papa Parish; then north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of that Allotment and Lots 4 and 3, Deeds Plan 239, and that last-mentioned boundary produced to the north-western side of Provincial State Highway No. 29; then north-easterly along that roadside to the easternmost corner of Allotment 22, Te Papa Parish; then north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of the said Allotment, to and north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of Lots 2 and 1, D.P. S. 1360, and Section 245, Suburbs of Greerton, and the last-mentioned boundary produced to intersect the line of the north-eastern side of Chadwick Road; then north-westerly to and along that roadside to and generally northerly along the generally eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. S. 3678, and its production across the public road forming the northern boundary of Lot 2 to the northern side of that road; then generally easterly along that roadside to and generally northerly and easterly along the generally western and northern boundaries of Section 294, Suburbs of Greerton, to the generally eastern boundary of Allotment 524, Te Papa Parish; then generally northerly along the said generally eastern boundary of the last-mentioned allotment, and the production of that boundary to the north-eastern side of Faulkner Street; then south-easterly along that roadside to the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 49, Suburbs of Tauranga, and south-westerly along the production of that boundary to the south-western side of Faulkner Street; then south-easterly along that roadside to and generally southerly along the generally western sides of Cook Street, to and south-easterly along the south-western side of Twenty-third Avenue and the production of that roadside to the south-eastern side of Cameron Road; then north-easterly along that roadside to and south-easterly along the south-western side of Twenty-second Avenue to the north-western side of Courtney Road; then south-westerly and south-easterly along the south-western sides of Courtney Street to and south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 9, D.P. ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Tauranga City, bounded by a line commencing at the southernmost corner of Allotment 887, Section 2, Town of Tauranga, situated in Block XIV, Tauranga Survey District; and proceeding southerly along the eastern side of the public road crossing the Waimapu River Estuary, to the shores of the Tauranga Harbour; then north-easterly, south-easterly, and south-westerly along the shores of the said harbour (Maungatapu Peninsula), and south-westerly up the left bank of the Kati-mako Stream, to and across a public road, and again south-westerly along the said left bank to the southernmost corner of Hairini 1A 4C 2; then generally westerly along the southern boundaries of the said Hairini 1A 4C 2, Hairini 1A 3, and Hairini 1A 4A, to Ohauiti Road, along the right line across the said road, to and along the southern boundaries of Hairini 5A and Hairini 1C, to the shores of the Waimapu River Estuary; then north-westerly along a right line across the said estuary, to the intersection of the north boundary of Lot 93, D.P. S. 2360, with the line of mean high water on the shores of the said estuary; then north-easterly and south-easterly along the said shores to and easterly along a right line across Turret Road to the point of commencement.
