Declaration That Land be Public Reserves

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Matamata County Council on the 15th day of August 1963—

“That in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 13 of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Matamata County Council hereby resolves that the pieces of land held by the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the said County, in fee simple, and described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby declared to be public reserves, for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the said lands, within the meaning of the said Act.”

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and how Proceeds of Sale Shall be Utilised

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for recreation purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto, and further, declares that the said land may be subdivided by the Taranaki County Council into lots and the Council may, for the purposes of better subdivision, proclaim, take, or set apart any portion of the said land for a public road and dispose of such lots at current market value on such terms and conditions as the Council shall determine, the net proceeds from any such sales to be paid into the Council’s reserves account, such money to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other recreation reserves under the control of the Council or in or towards the purchase of other land for recreation purposes.
