Declaring Area to be an Access Lane for the Purposes of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962

———

PURSUANT to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962, the Minister of Marine hereby declares that, for a period of two years from the date hereof, subject to compliance with the conditions set out in the First Schedule hereto, the area of water described in the Second Schedule hereto shall be an access lane and that within such access lane regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 shall not apply.

FIRST SCHEDULE

THE access lane shall be marked as follows:

1. Brightly painted marker buoys each 50 yards apart commencing 50 yards from high-water mark shall be suitably moored along each side of the access lane.

2. At high-water mark on the foreshore at each side of the access lane in line with the marker buoys there shall be placed a notice board measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft painted white with black letters.

3. The aforesaid notice boards shall contain the following notice.

“NOTICE

Motor Launch Regulations 1962

Access lane through which motor launches and water skiers may pass at speeds greater than 5 miles per hour.

BATHERS KEEP OUT”

SECOND SCHEDULE

ALL that area of water at Maraetai Beach bounded on the sides by parallel lines 120 yards apart extending in a northerly direction 200 yards from the edge of the water, the westernmost boundary being in line with the westernmost boundary of Lot 28, D.P. 17095, being part of Pohuturoa Block, and as is shown on plan marked M.D. 10541.

ALL that area of water at Eastern Beach, Waitemata Harbour, bounded on the sides by parallel lines 110 yards apart extending in an east-north-east direction 200 yards from the edge of the water, the southern boundary being in line with the northern boundary fence of the caravan club as shown on plan marked M.D. 10543.

Approving Organisation for Purpose of Controlling, Preventing, and Eradicating Hydatids in Area Comprising Taupo County and Taupo Borough (Notice No. Ag.7838)

PURSUANT to section 2 of the Hydatids Act 1959, the Minister of Agriculture hereby approves the organisation named in the first column of the Schedule hereto for the purpose of controlling, preventing, and eradicating hydatids in the area set opposite the name of that organisation in the second column of the said Schedule.

Taupo County Hydatid Control Authority, consisting of five councillors of the Taupo County Council and two persons appointed by the Taupo Borough Council as representatives of that Council.

Area
All that area comprising the County of Taupo and the Borough of Taupo.
