HIS Excellency the Governor-General has, pursuant to the
Navy Act 1954, approved the following appointments, pro-
motions, and terminations of appointment in the Royal New
Zealand Navy.

Captain E. A. G. Whittle, C.B.E., M.I.MAR.E, released (short-
service commission completed), to date 12 July 1963.
Surgeon Commander J. MacDonald, M.B., CH.B., promoted
to rank of Surgeon Captain, to date 30 June 1963.
Commander F. J. Bishop, A.M.I.MAR.E., granted acting
rank of Captain whilst holding present appointment, to date
1 July 1963.
Instructor Commander C. J. Taylor, B.SC., released (age),
to date 1 August 1963 and placed on Retired List, to date
2 August 1963.
Surgeon Lieutenant Commander J. D. Read, M.B., CH.B.,
promoted to rank of Surgeon Commander, to date 30 June
1963.
Lieutenant Commander R. L. Harding released (own
request), to date 30 June 1963 and placed on Retired List
with honorary rank of Commander, to date 1 July 1963.
Lieutenant Commander D. J. Cheney promoted to rank

Appointment of Member of the Kaiapoi Reserve Board

Appointment of Whangarei County Council to Control and

Manage Part of a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister

scenic reserve.

The Member of the Bay of Islands County Council,
representing the Okaihau Riding, ex officio;

to be the Manginangina Scenic Board to have control of
