Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto; that land being no longer required for the purpose for which it was acquired.

Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a marae.

The Hutt Valley High School Board of Governors Order 1963

At the Government House at Wellington this 21st day of August 1963
Present:
His Excellency The Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to section 90 of the Education Act 1914, as amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Hutt Valley High School Board of Governors Order 1963.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of June 1964.
  2. The constitution of the Board of Governors of the Hutt Valley High School, prescribed by section 90 of the Education Act 1914, is hereby varied so that the school shall be controlled by a Board of Governors constituted as follows:
    (a) One member appointed by the Wellington Education Board;
    (b) Five members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school;
    (c) One member appointed by the Lower Hutt City Council;
    (d) One member appointed by the Old Pupils’ Association of the school;
    (e) One member co-opted by the Board itself, if and when it thinks fit.
  3. The Hutt Valley High School Board of Governors Order 1957 is hereby revoked.

The Henderson High School Board of Governors Order 1963

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 90 of the Education Act 1914, as amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Henderson High School Board of Governors Order 1963.
  2. The constitution of the Board of Governors of the Henderson High School, prescribed by the Henderson High School Board of Governors Order 1963,* is hereby varied so that, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in section 90 of the Education Act 1914, the school shall be controlled by a Board of Governors constituted as follows:
    (a) One member appointed by the Auckland Education Board;
    (b) Three members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school, being parents who are resident in the Henderson School District, the Henderson North School District, the Sunnyvale School District, and the Pomaria Road School District;
    (c) One member elected by the parents of pupils attending the school, being parents who are resident in the Oratia School District and the Henderson Valley School District;
    (d) Two members elected by the parents of pupils attending the school, being parents who are resident in the Ranui School District, the Massey-Birdwood School District, the Swanson School District, and the Waitakere School District;
    (e) Two members co-opted by the Board of Governors itself, if and when it thinks fit.
  3. The Minister of Education may from time to time, by notice in the Gazette, amend the list of school districts to which paragraphs (b), (c), and (d) of clause 2 of this order apply.
  4. The Henderson High School Board of Governors Order 1963 is hereby revoked.
