The Westlake High Schools Board of Governors Order 1963
BERNARD FERGUSSON, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government House at Wellington this 14th day of August 1963 Present: HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to section 90 of the Education Act 1914, as amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Westlake High Schools Board of Governors Order 1963. (2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of June 1964. 2. The constitution of the Board of Governors of the Westlake High Schools, prescribed by section 90 of the Education Act 1914, is hereby varied so that the schools shall be controlled by a Board of Governors constituted as hereinafter set out in this order. 3. From the 1st day of June 1964 until the 31st day of May 1970, the Board of Governors shall be constituted as follows: (a) One member appointed by the Auckland Education Board: (b) Seven members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school, of whom at least two shall be women: (c) One member appointed by the Takapuna City Council: (d) One member appointed by the Council of the University of Auckland: (e) One member co-opted by the Board itself, if and when it thinks fit. 4. On and after the 1st day of June 1970, the Board of Governors shall be constituted as follows: (a) One member appointed by the Auckland Education Board: (b) Five members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school, of whom at least one shall be a woman: (c) One member appointed by the Takapuna City Council: (d) One member appointed by the Council of the University of Auckland: (e) Two members, of whom one shall be a woman, appointed in such manner as the Board may from time to time determine to represent the old pupils of the schools under the control of the Board. (f) One member co-opted by the Board itself, if and when it thinks fit. 5. The Westlake Board of Governors Order 1956 is hereby revoked. T. J. SHERRARD, Clerk of the Executive Council. Revoking a Licence Authorising Whatoro Farms Ltd., to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity and to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines
BERNARD FERGUSSON, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government House at Wellington this 14th day of August 1963 Present: HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and with the consent of the licensee, hereby revokes the Order in Council dated the 16th day of April 1957, and published in the Gazette on the 2nd day of May 1957, at page 759, authorising Howell St. Clair Williams, of Whatoro, farmer, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity and to erect and use certain electric lines, the rights, powers, and privileges under the said Order in Council having been assigned to Whatoro Farms Ltd.

Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities BERNARD FERGUSSON, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government House at Wellington this 14th day of August 1963 Present: HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General acting by and with advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Varying an Order in Council Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation BERNARD FERGUSSON, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government House at Wellington this 14th day of August 1963 Present: HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to section 439 (5) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby varies an Order in Council made on 28 January 1953 and published in Gazette on 5 February 1953, Volume I, page 168, by deleting the description of the land contained in the First Schedule hereto and substituting the description of the land contained in the Second Schedule hereto.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation BERNARD FERGUSSON, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government House at Wellington this 14th day of August 1963 Present: HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a marae site, meeting place, and burial ground for the common use and benefit of the owners and the members of the Ngati Rongo tribe.
