WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan No. 6 1963, £30,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waipa County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £30,000 authorised to be raised by the Waipa County Council under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Waipa County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·044d. in the pound on the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of Waipa; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-five (35) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Waipa County Council held on Monday, 15 July 1963.

BOROUGH OF HOWICK

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Loan Borough Depot Construction 1963 £8,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Howick Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges of the loan of £8,000 authorised to be raised by the Howick Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a borough depot and staff amenities block, the said Howick Borough Council Hereby makes a special rate of 0·1d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Howick, comprising the whole of the Borough of Howick; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half yearly on the 5th day of January 1964 and the 5th day of July 1964, in each and every year during the currency of the loan, for a period of ten (10) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

ROTORUA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Airport Loan 1963, £65,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rotorua County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £65,000 authorised to be raised by the Rotorua County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of meeting the Council’s share of the cost of establishing an airport at Rotokawa, the said Rotorua County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one nine two pence (0·192d.) in the pound (£) upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Rotorua; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Rotorua County Council, held on the 23rd day of July 1963.

MARTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION PLEDGING RATE

Water Supply Improvement Renewal Loan 1963

“THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the power vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1954 and its amendments, the Marton Borough Council hereby resolves that for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a renewal loan of £63,000, described as the Water Supply Improvement Renewal Loan 1963, authorised to be raised by the Marton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting debentures falling due in the Water Supply Improvement Loan £165,000, £80,000 portion, the said Marton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2·084 pence in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Marton; that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable in yearly instalments on the 1st day, of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being for a period of 10 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify this to be a true copy of the resolution passed at a meeting of the Marton Borough Council held on 23 July 1963.

Water Supply Improvement Loan 1962, £45,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Featherston Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charge on the loan of £45,000 to be known as the Water Supply Improvement Loan 1962, authorised to be raised by the Featherston Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of developing and improving the waterworks, the said Featherston Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of four pence and four hundred and thirty-four thousandths of a penny (4·434d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Featherston; and that the said shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 30 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

Development and Expansion Loan 1962, £500,000—Fourth Issue of £130,000

“THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £130,000, authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of developing and expanding the waterworks, drainage, and street systems of the city, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal two two nine pence (0·229d.) in the pound on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 15th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City Council held on Tuesday, 23 July 1963.

Rural Housing Loan 1962, £40,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taumarunui County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £40,000, authorised to be raised by the Taumarunui County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of making advances to farmers for the erection of dwellings under the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Taumarunui County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal 002681 on each pound of rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Taumarunui; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Taumarunui County Council held on the 25th day of July 1963.
