Revocation of the Reservation Over Part of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation over that part of the reserve for a Lunatic Asylum and an Industrial School described in the Schedule hereto.

Change of the Purpose of a Reserve to Scenic Purposes and Addition of the Reserve to the Miritu (Bay of Many Coves) Scenic Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby changes the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for sounds foreshore purposes to a reserve for scenic purposes and further, declares the said reserve to form part of the Miritu (Bay of Many Coves) Scenic Reserve to be administered as a scenic reserve by the Ship Cove and Queen Charlotte Sound Reserve Board.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT—PART MIRITU (BAY OF MANY COVES) SCENIC RESERVE

Reservation of Land and Vesting in the Mosgiel Borough Council

Pursuant to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for recreation purposes and further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Mosgiel, in trust for that purpose.

Declaring Area to be an Access Lane for the Purposes of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962

Pursuant to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962, the Minister of Marine hereby declares that for a period of one year from the date hereof, subject to compliance with the conditions set out in the First Schedule hereto, the area of water described in the Second Schedule hereto shall be an access lane, and that within such access lane regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 shall not apply.

FIRST SCHEDULE

The access lane shall be marked as follows:

  1. Brightly painted marker buoys each 50 yards apart, commencing 50 yards from high water mark, shall be suitably moored along each side of the access lane.

  2. At high water mark on the foreshore at each side of the access lane in line with the marker buoys there shall be placed a notice board, measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft painted white with black letters.

  3. The aforesaid notice boards shall contain the following notice:

“NOTICE

Motor Launch Regulations 1962

Access lane through which motor launches and water skiers may pass at speeds greater than 5 miles per hour.

Bathers Keep Out”.

SECOND SCHEDULE

All that area of water at Cockle Bay, Block IV, Otahuhu Survey District, bounded on the sides by parallel lines 100 yards apart extending in a 031° true direction 400 yards from the edge of the water the westernmost boundary being in line with the easternmost corner of Lot 2, Deposited Plan 16751.

Licensing the Hutt County Council to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Bed of the Porirua Harbour at Paremata as a Site for a Pedestrian Underpass

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits the Hutt County Council (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the Porirua Harbour at Paremata, as shown on plan marked M.D. 11544 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining thereon a pedestrian underpass as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
