Limited Speed Zone Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

1. That the Warrant under regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956,* dated the 10th day of May 1962†, which relates to Whangamomona in Stratford County is hereby revoked.

2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956.*

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Stratford County at Whangamomona:

No. 43 State Highway (Stratford-Ohura) (from Whangamomona Road to a point 16 chains measured easterly generally along the said State highway from the said road).

Whangamomona Road (from the No. 43 State Highway (Stratford-Ohura) to a point 32 chains measured southerly generally along the said road from the said State highway).

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940,* the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provisions shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940* to the persons described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise them to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of their employment for the employers described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise them, while they are under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

PURSUANT to section 25 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares that the Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto and the land held for defence purposes described in the Second Schedule hereto to be set apart for road from and after the 29th day of July 1963.
