Revocation of the Reservation Over Part of a Reserve

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and how Proceeds of Sale Shall be Utilised

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for public purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto and further declares that the said land may be disposed of by the Lower Hutt City Council at current market value, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the Council’s reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other public reserves under the control of the Council, or in or towards the purchase of other land for public reserves.

Revocation of the Reservation Over Reserves

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation for the purpose of the construction of a line of railway from Foxton to Manawatu over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that parcel of land being a width of one and a half chains of land running along the eastern and south-eastern and southern side of the Foxton Manawatu Railway, from the point where the northern boundary of the Awa Hou Block (called the Township of Foxton) crosses the railway line, and extending northward and then north-eastward and eastward to a point where the western boundary of a Maori reserve for the Rangitane tribe abuts on the road and railway line; being a total distance in length of six miles and 16 chains, or thereabouts.

As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 16/1387/1 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged purple. (S.O. Plan 16347.)

But excluding therefrom that area allocated for road by Gazette, 1943, page 359 (coloured yellow on the said plan); and also that area declared Crown land by Gazette, 1961, page 1415 (coloured red on the said plan).

Change of the Purpose of Part of a Reserve and Vesting in the University of Canterbury

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby changes the purpose of that part of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for limestone quarry purposes, to a reserve for a site for a marine field station, and further, vests the said reserve in the University of Canterbury, a body corporate constituted under the University of Canterbury Act 1933, in trust, for that purpose.
