Notice: Nobel Peace Prize 1963
THE following conditions of the award of the Nobel Peace
Prize for 1963 are published for general information.

NOBEL PEACE PRIZE
All proposals of candidates for the Nobel Peace Prize,
which is to be distributed on 10 December 1963, must, in
order to be taken into consideration, be laid before the Nobel
Committee of the Norwegian Parliament by a duly qualified
person before the lst day of February 1963.
Any one of the following persons is held to be duly
qualified: (a) Members and late members of the Nobel
Committee of the Norwegian Parliament, as well as the
advisers appointed at the Norwegian Nobel Institute; (b)
Members of Parliament and members of Government of the
different States, as well as members of the Interparliamentary
Union; (c) Members of the International Arbitration Court
at The Hague; (d) Members and Associates of the Institute
of International Law; (e) University professors of Political
Science and of Law, of History, and of Philosophy; and (f)
Persons who have received the Nobel Peace Prize.
The Nobel Peace Prize may also be accorded to institutions
or associations.
According to the Code of Statutes, section 8, the grounds
upon which any proposal is made must be stated and handed
in along with such papers and other documents (including
biographical information) as may therein be referred to.
According to section 3 every written work, to qualify for a
prize, must have appeared in print.
For particulars qualified persons are requested to apply to
the office of the Nobel Committee of the Norwegian Parliament, Drammensveien 19, Oslo.
Notice Respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries of City
of Gisborne and County of Cook
THE Minister of Internal Affairs hereby notifies that a petition
has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General,
pursuant to section 12 of the Municipal Corporations Act
1954, praying that that area of land comprising the areas
described in the Schedule hereto, being now part of the City
of Gisborne, be excluded from the said city and included in
the County of Cook. All persons affected who object to the
proposed alteration of boundaries are hereby called upon to
lodge any objections to or petitions against the proposed
alteration with the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington,
within one month from the date of publication of this notice.

Permanent State Forest Land
NOTICE is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule
hereto has been acquired under the Forests Act 1949 as
permanent State forest land.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT-AUCKLAND CONSERVANCY
LOT 2, D.P. 50858, being part Mataitai No. 6, situated in
Block IX, Wairoa Survey District, Manukau County: Area,
900 acres, more or less. As shown on plan No. 21/4 deposited
in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at
Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
