Roads Excluded from Speed Limitation and Limited Speed Zones Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:
-
That the Warrants under section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936, dated the 25th day of August 1937,* and the 21st day of February 1949†, and the Warrants under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, dated the 25th day of October 1956‡, the 7th day of March 1958§, the 30th day of June 1958∥, and the 4th day of July 1961¶, and the Warrant under regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956,** dated the 1st day of April 1957††, which relate to roads in Hamilton City, formerly in Waikato and Waipa Counties adjacent to Hamilton City, are hereby revoked.

The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be limited speed zones for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956.

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (from the north-western boundary of Hamilton City to Vardon Road; and from the Mangaonua Stream to Riverlea Road).
No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth) (from the southern boundary of Hamilton City to a point 5 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said State highway from Tomin Road).

Approval of Testing Officers Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
———
PURSUANT to regulation 5 of the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby approves of the persons named in column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being testing officers under the said regulations for the authority specified in column 1 of the said Schedule.
