WAIMEA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimea Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £76,000, known as Reticulation Loan (No. 11) 1963, authorised to be raised by the Waimea Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the construction of electric works and line extensions, the said Waimea Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of 0·057d. (decimal nought five seven pence) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Waimea Electric Power District and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Waimea Electric Power Board on 19 June 1963.

NELSON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

“THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Nelson City Council hereby resolves that for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £77,000, to be known as the Tahunanui Street Works Loan 1963 of £77,000, authorised to be raised by the Nelson City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing and reconstructing kerbing, channelling, roads, footpaths, stormwater drainage and ancillary work at Tahunanui, the said Nelson City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seventeen thirty-seconds of a penny (⅝d.) in the pound on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Nelson comprising the whole of the said city; and such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be repayable yearly on the 1st day of August of each and every year during the currency of the loan being a period of 10 years or until such loan is paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed by the Nelson City Council at a meeting held in the Nelson City Council Chamber, Trafalgar Street, Nelson, on the 20th day of June 1963.

CENTRAL CANTERBURY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Central Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £42,000 to be known as the Building Loan 1962 authorised to be raised by the Central Canterbury Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting part of the cost of constructing administrative offices at Hornby, the said Central Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of seven-fortieths (⅞) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Central Canterbury Electric Power District, comprising the whole of the Counties of Ellesmere, Paparua, Akaroa, Waiwera, and Mt. Herbert, part of the Borough of Lyttelton, and parts of the Halswell, Malvern, and Heathcote Counties, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of and a correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Central Canterbury Electric Power Board at the meeting written above.

NAPIER CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

Notice is hereby given that the Napier City Council proposes under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work namely, to widen portion of Chaucer Road South in the city of Napier, and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council situate in Tennyson Street, Napier, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Tennyson Street, Napier.
