NAPIER CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———
Hawke’s Bay Airport Development Loan 1963, £114,500
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Napier City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of one hundred and fourteen thousand five hundred pounds (£114,500) authorised to be raised by the Napier City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting Napier City’s share of the cost of purchasing land and developing the Hawke’s Bay Airport, the said Napier City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal two four four (·244) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of Napier; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
Certified a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Napier City Council at its meeting held on 6 May 1963.

HAWKE’S BAY COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———
AT a meeting held on Monday, the 8th day of April 1963, a resolution, by way of special order, to raise a special loan of £62,500, to be called the Hawke’s Bay County Airport Loan 1963, was passed as follows:
“That the Hawke’s Bay County Council raises a special loan of £62,500, to be called the Hawke’s Bay County Airport Loan 1963, £62,500, for a term not exceeding 25 years at a rate of interest not exceeding £5 7s. 6d. per cent per annum for the purpose of meeting its share of the costs in the purchase of land and development of the Hawke’s Bay Airport; and that the Council shall appropriate and pledge an annually recurring special rate of decimal nought six two (·062) of a penny in the pound (£) on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within the County of Hawke’s Bay.”
This resolution, by way of special order, was confirmed at a meeting of the Council held on Monday, the 13th day of May 1963.

HAVELOCK NORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Hawke’s Bay Airport Loan
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Havelock North Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of £9,000 authorised to be raised by the Havelock North Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the local authority’s share of the cost of purchasing land and developing the Hawke’s Bay Airport, the said Havelock North Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·111 pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Havelock North; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

HASTINGS CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Airport Loan 1962, £53,500
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hastings City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £53,500 authorised to be raised by the Hastings City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting its share of the cost of land and development of the Hawke’s Bay Airport, the said Hastings City Council hereby makes a special rate of thirteen one-hundredths (0·13) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value based on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of the City of Hastings, comprising the whole of the City of Hastings; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
In witness whereof the common seal of the Corporation of the City of Hastings was hereto affixed this 31st day of May 1963 in the presence of:

QUEENSTOWN BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Queenstown Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, as security for the payment of interest and the repayment of principle and other charges in respect of the loan of £3,000, to be known as the Camping Ground Development Loan 1962, authorised to be raised by the Queenstown Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of the erection of a new ablution block and caravan park at the Queenstown Municipal Camping Ground, the Queenstown Borough Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge the special rate of 0·22038d. in the (£) upon the amount of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Queenstown; such rate to be annually recurring and to be payable in full on the 1st day of April in every year until the total amount borrowed has been repaid.”

GERALDINE COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Housing Loan 1963
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Geraldine County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purposes of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the Geraldine County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of the purchase of houses and of land and the erection of houses thereon for staff housing purposes, the said Geraldine County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·0195d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all rateable property of the County of Geraldine; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LANDS FOR THE PURPOSES OF AN AERODROME
In the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and the Public Works Act 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Rotorua County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the provision of an aerodrome in the County of Rotorua, and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the above Council and situated at corner of Ranolf and Amohau Streets, Rotorua, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such lands must state their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers at corner Ranolf and Amohau Streets, Rotorua. (Postal address, P.O. Box 5028, Rotorua South.)
