Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Roads Excluded from Speed Limitation

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

1. That the Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, dated the 22nd day of July 1953,* which relates to Papakura Borough is hereby revoked.

2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

SITUATED within Papakura Borough:

Hunua Road (from the southern boundary of Papakura Borough to a point 13 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said road from Settlement Road).

Settlement Road (from Hunua Road to the eastern boundary of Papakura Borough).

Notice Prescribing Fees for Registration Plates and Licence Labels

PURSUANT to regulation 12 of the Motor Vehicles Registration and Licensing Regulations 1949,* the Minister of Transport hereby prescribes that, in respect of the licensing year commencing on the 1st day of July 1963 and any licensing year thereafter, to cover the cost and issue of registration plates and licence labels to be issued under the said regulations there shall be payable in respect thereof the following fees:

Power cycles .... .... .... 4s. per plate
Dealers in motor cycles and power cycles .... .... .... 4s. per plate
