NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CEASE TO HAVE A PLACE OF BUSINESS IN NEW ZEALAND

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 405 of the Companies Act 1955, that Dreyfus and Co. Ltd., duly incorporated in the United Kingdom and having its head office for New Zealand at 201 Lambton Quay, Wellington, intends to cease to have a place of business in New Zealand at the expiration of three (3) months from the date of publication of this notice.

MOUNT ROSKILL BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Storm-water Drainage Loan 1963, £80,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £80,000 authorised to be raised by the Mount Roskill Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of undertaking storm-water drainage work in various parts of the borough and meeting costs incidental thereto, the said Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one five eight four pence (0·1584d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Roskill; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be paid yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being for a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NELSON CATCHMENT BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Nelson Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twelve thousand pounds (£12,000) authorised to be raised by the Nelson Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a portion of the local share of the cost of the Takaka Valley Rivers Scheme, the said Nelson Catchment Board hereby makes a special rate of decimal six six five pence (0·665d.) in the pound on A class land and decimal nought six six five pence (0·0665d.) in the pound on F class land upon the rateable capital value of all the rateable property of the Special Takaka Valley Rivers Scheme District, comprising all that area of land in the Takaka County bounded by a carmine line shown on Plan No. T. 215, Sheet 4, commencing at a point at the western end of the Waitapu Bridge S. 8 192842; thence generally in a westerly direction to the northern corner of Section 46, Block V, Waitapu Survey District; thence in a southerly direction along a public road to Section 10; thence south and west to a public road and the eastern boundary of Section 11; thence generally in a westerly direction along a public road and the southern and western boundary of the said Section 11 to its westernmost point, Block V, Waitapu S.D.; thence generally north-west to the western corner of part Section 6, Block IV, Waitapu S.D.; thence west and south to a promitory half a mile south of Parapara Peak; thence in a generally south and westerly direction to Trig. J, Paradise Peak; thence west and south along the Hardy and Douglas Ranges following the western and southern boundaries of the Anatoki Riding of the Golden Bay County to its most southern point at Mt. Arthur; thence in a north and easterly direction to Trig. P, Pikikiruna; thence in a north-easterly direction to a public road at the south-eastern corner of Section 5, Block XII, Takaka S.D.; thence in a northerly direction to Trig. A.A., Mt. Pisgah; thence generally in a north-westerly direction to the southernmost point of Section 17, Block XI, Waitapu S.D.; thence along the south-western boundary of the said Section 17 to a public road; thence along the said public road bounding the south-western and north-western boundaries of part Section 73; thence north-west to the southern corner of part Section 163; thence north-east and north-west along the boundary of the aforesaid part Section 163; thence north-east to the southernmost corner of part Section 161; thence north-west along the Takaka-Pohara Main Highway to the eastern corner of 17 of 6, Section J; thence in a south-westerly direction along a public road to the eastern corner of Section 3 of 10; thence in a south-easterly direction to the Takaka-Pohara Main Highway; thence in a south-westerly direction to Factory Road; thence in a north-westerly direction along

Factory Road to Section 12; thence generally north and west to a public road at part Section 3/10, Block VI, Waitapu S.D.; thence generally north-east to a point approximately 8 chains from the north-eastern corner of the said Section 8; thence in a north-westerly direction to the high-water mark; thence generally in a westerly direction to the Waitapu Wharf Road and the Richmond-Collingwood State Highway; thence generally in a westerly direction along the State highway to the point of commencement: and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully repaid.”

NELSON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Nelson City Council hereby resolves:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £12,600, to be known as the Water Reticulation Renewal Loan 1963, authorised to be raised by the Nelson City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying, on maturity, that portion of the Water Reticulation Loan 1951, £50,700, which matures on the 17th day of September 1963, the said Nelson City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-nine five hundred and twelfths pence (39/512d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property in the City of Nelson; and such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until such loan is paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed by the Nelson City Council at a meeting held in the Nelson City Council Chamber, Trafalgar Street, Nelson, on the 16th day of May 1963.

BOROUGH OF FOXTON

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to section 47 (1) of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Foxton Borough Council doth hereby resolve:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £6,000 authorised to be raised by the Foxton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the erection of accommodation for aged persons, the said Foxton Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal two five pence (0·25d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Foxton, comprising the whole of the Borough; and the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 31st day of August and the 28th day of February in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TAKAPUNA CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Milford Off-street Parking Loan 1962, £9,250

IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Takapuna City Council resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the Milford Off-street Parking Loan 1962, £9,250, authorised to be raised by the Takapuna City Council by way of special loan under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of providing off-street parking in Milford, the Takapuna City Council makes a special rate of one decimal nought eight four pence in the pound (1·084d. in the £) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the special-rating roll for the Milford Special-rating Area; and that such special rate shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Takapuna City Council held on the 21st day of May 1963.
