CITY OF AUCKLAND

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Auckland City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, to execute certain public works, namely, to construct a service lane and also to provide a parking place; and for the purpose of such public works the land firstly described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for the construction of a service lane, and the land secondly described in the Schedule is required to be taken to provide a parking place; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk at the Town Hall, Auckland, and it is open for public inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of such lands who have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public works or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, Town Hall, Auckland.

SCHEDULE

FIRSTLY, 2·2 perches approximately, more or less, being part Lot 4, D.P. 3576, and being part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 1512, folio 1, Auckland Registry, together with a right of way created in and by transfer 580712; as the same is more particularly shown on a plan recorded in the office of the City Engineer, Town Hall, Auckland, under No. 11045/4, Bk. X/67, and thereon coloured blue.

Secondly, 1·7 perches approximately, more or less, being another part Lot 4 on D.P. 3576, being part of the land in the said certificate of title, Volume 1512, folio 1, Auckland Registry, together with a right of way created in and by the said transfer 580712; as the same is more particularly shown on the said plan recorded in the office of the City Engineer, Town Hall, Auckland, under No. 11045/4 Bk. X/67, and thereon coloured blue.

NOTICE is hereby given that at the annual general meeting of the Law Society of the District of Hawke’s Bay, held on Friday, the 8th day of March 1963, it was unanimously resolved, on the motion of Mr W. E. Bate, seconded by Mr Bloomer, that this general meeting of the Law Society of the District of Hawke’s Bay ratify the agreement made on the 4th day of March 1963 ceding the Borough of Woodville to the Manawatu District Law Society.

NOTICE is hereby given that at the annual general meeting of the Manawatu District Law Society, held on Wednesday, the 13th day of March 1963, it was unanimously resolved, on the motion of Mr G. Crossley, seconded by Mr S. K. Siddells, that this general meeting of the Manawatu District Law Society ratify the agreement made on the 4th day of March 1963 ceding the Borough of Woodville to the Manawatu District Law Society.

LAW PRACTITIONERS ACT 1955

In the matter of the Law Practitioners Act 1955.
AN agreement made this 4th day of March 1962 between the Law Society of the District of Hawke’s Bay of the one part and the Manawatu District Law Society of the other part, whereby it is agreed that the Borough of Woodville, formerly within the district of the Law Society of Hawke’s Bay, shall as from the 1st day of January 1963 be included in the district of the Manawatu District Law Society.

DECISION OF THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING APPEAL BOARD

In the matter of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 and in the matter of an application, under section 35 of the Act, by Hastings City Council for consent to a specified departure from the provisions of the operative district scheme of the Hawke’s Bay County Council.

DECISION

UPON reading the application of Hastings City Council, filed herein, and the affidavit of Charles Gordon Cross, sworn and filed in support thereof, and being satisfied (1) that the provisions of regulation 32 of the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960 have been complied with and (2) that there have been no objections to the application.

The Board hereby consents to a specified departure from the provisions of the Hawke’s Bay County Council’s Operative District Scheme (Heretaunga Plains Section) by permitting the applicant to dispense with compliance with the Code of Ordinances of the Hawke’s Bay County Council so far as the Code applies to the land described in the Schedule hereto, such lands now forming part of the City of Hastings, subject to compliance with the Code of Ordinances of the Hastings City Council made and approved in respect of the scheme plan for that portion of the city not included in the Schedule hereto, which portion was not in fact part of the City of Hastings at the time when the Hastings City Council Code of Ordinances became operative.

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL

PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Henderson taken on the 18th day of May 1963 on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of £50,000, to be known as the “Henderson Borough Council Commercial and Civic Centre Loan 1963, of £50,000”, for the purpose of the purchasing of land and buildings in the borough’s proposed commercial and civic centre zone, resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was ..... 175
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 457
The number of informal votes was ..... ..... 16
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

Changes of Mount Wellington District Scheme Approved

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that changes of the district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 for the Borough of Mount Wellington relating to the areas and matters set forth in the Schedule to this notice were approved by the Mount Wellington Borough Council, by resolution passed at its meeting held on the 6th day of May 1963, after all objections, appeals, and arbitrations relating to the changes of the scheme had been disposed of and the changes of the scheme had been amended to give effect to all objections and appeals allowed.
