State Forest Land Set Apart as a Forest Sanctuary

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 20 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the area of permanent State forest land described in the Schedule hereto as a forest sanctuary.

SCHEDULE

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY
Esk Kiwi Sanctuary

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Hawke’s Bay County, containing 387 acres, more or less, being part of Esk State Forest situated in Block XIV, Maungaharuru Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Commencing at a point bearing 86° 30′, 135 links from Peg LVI on the Old Coach Road; thence by lines bearing 24° 15′, 675 links, 358° 45′, 635 links, and 34° 30′, 655 links to a point of intersection with Deep Stream; thence in a north-westerly direction generally by Deep Stream to a point bearing 329° 15′, 2895 links from the aforementioned point of intersection; thence by lines bearing 72° 30′, 1895 links, 149° 00′, 820 links, 166° 30′, 1495 links, 112° 45′, 860 links, 77° 30′, 820 links, 3° 15′, 330 links, and 36° 15′, 1290 links to a point of intersection with a stream; thence in a south-easterly direction generally by that stream to a point bearing 110° 15′, 2005 links from the aforementioned intersection point; thence by lines bearing 354° 00′, 195 links, 78° 45′, 1205 links, 159° 00′, 3235 links, and 72° 00′, 1260 links to a point of intersection with a tributary of Deep Stream; thence in a south-easterly direction generally by that tributary to a point by its junction with Deep Stream bearing 119° 15′, 875 links from the last-mentioned point of intersection; thence by lines bearing 165° 15′, 780 links, 256° 15′, 1155 links, 247° 15′, 1165 links to a point on the Old Coach Road; thence by the northern side of the Old Coach Road to the point of commencement.

As shown on plan No. 65/14 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 26th day of April 1963.

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Authorising Andrew Emmett Derwin, Storekeeper, to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines on Rangitoto Island

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 15th day of May 1963

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises Andrew Emmett Derwin (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

CONDITIONS

IMPLIED CONDITIONS

  1. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1961 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS

  1. This licence is issued under the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and is subject thereto, and to the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1961, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and to all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.

SYSTEM OF SUPPLY

  1. The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (d) of regulation 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and shall be a direct-current system.

DURATION OF LICENCE

  1. Unless sooner lawfully determined this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1984.

SCHEDULE

Lines for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described, commencing from the licensee’s generator near the caretaker kiosk and proceeding along the wharf and foreshore to a pole and thence as follows:

In a north-easterly direction to a pole situated in the domain playground; thence across a road in a north-westerly direction to a hut used by the St. John Ambulance Brigade.

All being situated in the Rangitoto Survey District, Rangitoto Island. The said lines being more particularly shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 599 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

Declaring an Access Way to be Under the Control and Management of the Manukau County Council

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 11 of the Housing Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the access way described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be under the control and management of the Manukau County Council.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that access way containing 6·6 perches situated in Block XI, Otahuhu Survey District, Auckland R.D., and being Lot 201, D.P. 47830. Part certificate of title, Volume 1958, folio 98, North Auckland Land Registry.
