Uniting the South Taranaki and Opunake Electric Power Districts to Form the Egmont Electric Power District

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by Proclamation dated the 24th day of April 1925, and published in the Gazette on the 30th day of April in that year, the South Taranaki Electric Power District as therein described was duly constituted as an electric power district within the meaning of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925:
And whereas by Proclamation dated the 9th day of August 1921, and published in the Gazette on the 18th day of August in that year, the Opunake Electric Power District as therein described was duly constituted as an electric power district within the meaning of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925:
And whereas the districts controlled by the South Taranaki Electric Power Board and the Opunake Electric Power Board have since the respective dates of the constitution of the Boards been extended, modified, and amended:
And whereas it is desirable to amalgamate the electrical undertakings and districts of the South Taranaki Electric Power Board and the Opunake Electric Power Board under a new electric power board to be hereby constituted under the Electric Power Boards Act 1925:
And whereas by special order of the South Taranaki Electric Power Board, confirmed on the 28th day of March 1963, and by special order of the Opunake Electric Power Board, also confirmed on the 28th day of March 1963, it was resolved that the amalgamation of the two Boards be recommended:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, with the approval of the Executive Council, hereby declare as follows:

The South Taranaki and Opunake Electric Power Districts shall be united on the 29th day of June 1963, to form one district to be known as the Egmont Electric Power District.

The district so formed shall consist of the area described in the First Schedule hereto.

The outer area of the district so formed shall consist of the area described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
EGMONT ELECTRIC POWER DISTRICT
FIRST, all that area described in the Third Schedule to a Proclamation dated the 27th day of October 1937, and published in the Gazette on the 4th day of November 1937 at page 2437, defining the boundaries of the South Taranaki Electric Power District.
Second, all that area described in a Proclamation dated the 18th day of September 1959, and published in the Gazette on the 24th day of the same month at page 1342, altering the boundaries of the South Taranaki Electric Power District.
Third, all that area described in the First Schedule to a Proclamation dated the 9th day of August 1921, and published in the Gazette on the 18th day of the same month, constituting the Opunake Electric Power District.
Fourth, all that area described in the Schedule to a Proclamation dated the 12th day of March 1925, and published in the Gazette on the 19th day of the same month, altering the boundaries of the Opunake Electric Power District.
Fifth, all that area described in the Schedule to a Proclamation dated the 27th day of August 1954, and published in the Gazette on the 9th day of September 1954 at page 1418, altering the boundaries of the Opunake Electric Power District.
SECOND SCHEDULE
OUTER AREA
ALL that area described in the Second Schedule to a Proclamation dated the 24th day of April 1925, and published in the Gazette on the 30th day of the same month, constituting the outer area of the South Taranaki Electric Power District, but excluding therefrom:
First, all that area described in the Schedule to a Proclamation dated the 21st day of December 1926, and published in the Gazette on the 23rd day of the same month at page 3512, altering the boundaries of the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power District.
Second, all that area described in the Schedule to a Proclamation dated the 27th day of January 1931, and published in the Gazette on the 5th day of February 1931 at page 214, altering the boundaries of the South Taranaki Electric Power District.
Third, all that area described in a Proclamation dated the 18th day of September 1959, and published in the Gazette on the 24th day of the same month at page 1342, altering the boundaries of the South Taranaki Electric Power District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 15th day of May 1963.

Authorising the Sale and Removal of any Stone, Metal, Mineral, or Other Substance Upon or Under Land Vested in Her Majesty for the Purposes of a Quarry

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 15th day of May 1963
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 40 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the sale and removal of any stone, metal, mineral, or other substance upon or under the land described in the Schedule hereto, being land taken for quarry by virtue of a Proclamation dated the 28th day of January 1960 and published in Gazette, No. 7, of the 4th day of February 1960, at page 123.
SCHEDULE
ALL that parcel of land containing 7 acres 3 roods 22 perches, more or less, being part Section 11, Block V, Ngongotaha Survey District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 160952 (S.O. 40192) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Consenting to Stopping Road in Block VIII, Alford Survey District, Ashburton County

PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the Ashburton County Council stopping the road described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of road containing 1 acre and 2 perches situated in Block VIII, Alford Survey District, Canterbury R.D., and adjoining Rural Sections 20513, 21771, and 9506; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 7597 (S.O. 10093) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
