Amending Notice to the Open Season for Game in Certain Acclimatisation Districts
THE MINISTER of Internal Affairs hereby gives notice that the notice published in the Gazette, No. 14, of 28 February 1963, at page 276, relating to the open season for game in certain acclimatisation districts, is amended as follows:
- In that portion of the First Schedule which relates to the Hawke's Bay Acclimatisation District—
By deleting the following closed game areas:
(17) Lot 1, D.P. 731, Blocks 37, 39, 42, 65, 73, Block 14, Puketapu Survey District. The property of Mr R. C. Martin, Puketapu.
(18) Lot 2, D.P. 731, Blocks 37, 39, 40, 41, 42, 65, 72; Puketapu CGD; Lot 1, D.P. 4507, Section 1, Block 14, Puketapu Survey District; Block 11, Heretaunga Survey District. The property of Mr J. Davey, Puketapu.

Notice Relating to the Use of Insecticides (Notice No. Ag. 774I)
PURSUANT to regulation 3 (2) of the Stock (Insecticides and Oestrogens) Regulations 1961, the Minister of Agriculture hereby gives notice as follows.
- The notice published in the Gazette, No. 58, of 7 September 1961, at page 1401, and relating to the use of insecticides for the control or destruction of arthropod parasites or other insect pests on cattle, sheep, or swine, is hereby amended as follows:
(a) By omitting Schedule 1 from the said notice, and substituting the following Schedule 1:
“SCHEDULE 1
(i) Pyrethrin
(ii) Derris (Rotenone)
(iii) Lethane 384
(iv) Arsenic
(v) Lindane form of B.H.C. of a purity of not less than 99 per cent of the gamma isomer may be used in dressings and ointments prescribed for fly-strike in sheep and for mange in sheep, swine, and cattle other than milking dairy cattle.
(vi) Asuntol (Co-Ral), Delnav (Hercules 528), Diazinon, Nankor (Ronnel), and V.C. 13 may be used on sheep and swine, and on cattle other than milking dairy cattle.”
(b) By omitting Schedule 2 from the said notice, and substituting the following Schedule 2:
“SCHEDULE 2
(i) Aldrin
(ii) Benzene hexachloride
(iii) DDT (dichloro-diphenyl-trichloroethane)
(iv) Dieldrin
(v) Methoxychlor
(vi) Lindane, Asuntol (Col-Ral), Delnav (Hercules 528), Diazinon, Nankor (Ronnel), and V.C. 13 except as permitted for the restricted uses set out in Schedule 1.”

The notice published in the Gazette, No. 58, of 7 September 1961, at page 1401, and relating to the use of insecticides in slaughtering places, meat-packing houses, and canneries, is hereby amended by inserting, after the word “chemicals” in paragraphs (a), (b), and (c) of the said notice, the word “dichlorvos (DDVP)”.

The notice relating to the use of insecticides published in the Gazette, No. 65, of 18 October 1962, at page 1731, is hereby revoked.

Approval of Motor Cycle Safety Helmets in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1956
PURSUANT to clause (2) of regulation 29 of the Traffic Regulations 1956,* the Commissioner of Transport hereby approves, for the purpose of the said regulations, of the motor cycle safety helmets of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
SAFETY helmets manufactured by Stadium Ltd., England, and marked “Project 4” and bearing the certification mark of the British Standards Institution and the Standard number “B.S. 1869”.
