Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 22nd day of April 1963.

Agreement for Grant of Easement in Favour of Caltex Oil (N.Z.) Ltd., a Duly Incorporated Company Having its Registered Office at Wellington, Over Land in the City of Wellington Taken for Buildings of the General Government, Assented to

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the 7th day of August 1956, published in Gazette, 9 August 1956, Volume II, page 1066, and registered in the Land Registry Office at Wellington as No. 5593, inter alia, an area of land containing 7'13 perches, situated in the City of Wellington, being part Lot 2, D.P. 10531, being part Section 730, Town of Wellington, coloured blue on the plan marked P.W.D. 151113 (S.O. 23609) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, was taken for buildings of the General Government;

And whereas William Brandon Higgins, of Auckland, company director, Maina Dawn Lishman, of Auckland, married woman, and Joy Craine, of Feilding, married woman, being the registered proprietors of the said land at the date the said Proclamation took effect, were entitled to compensation for their interest in the said land;

And whereas it was agreed between the said registered proprietors and the Minister of Works, first that the said registered proprietors would grant to the Minister of Works an easement to maintain on adjoining land in the ownership of the said registered proprietors the pads of the columns of the eastern wall of the building on the said land to the extent to which the said pads encroach on the adjoining land, and secondly, that the Minister of Works would grant to the said registered proprietors an easement to have the building on the adjoining land supported by the eastern wall of the building on the said land in the manner and to the extent that such support is now provided, such easement to be granted in part satisfaction of compensation;

As whereas the said registered proprietors have sold the adjoining land to Basin Reserve Service Station Ltd., a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Wellington.

And whereas the said Basin Reserve Service Station Ltd. has sold the adjoining land to Caltex Oil (N.Z.) Ltd., a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Wellington.

As whereas the said Caltex Oil (N.Z.) Ltd. has agreed to accept the easement of support referred to above;

Now, therefore, the Minister of Works doth hereby give notice, in pursuance of section 97 of the Public Works Act 1928, that he assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block XVI, Muriwhenua Survey District, for a Maori School

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for a Maori school; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Kaitaia and is there open for inspection, and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of the land set forth the same in writing and send the writing, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
All that piece of land containing 1 acre situated in Block XVI, Muriwhenua Survey District, Auckland R.D., and being Te Kao No. 1F Block; as the same is more particularly delineated on M.L. Plan 13757 lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Auckland, and thereon edged red.

Declaration That Part of the Waikouaiti Domain Shall be a Recreation Reserve, Change of the Purpose of the Reserve, and Appointment of the Otago Regional Group of the Youth Hostels Association of New Zealand, Incorporated, to Control and Manage the Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby declares that that part of the Waikouaiti Domain described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part III of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953 and shall be deemed to be a recreation reserve subject to Part II of the said Act, and, further, pursuant to the said Act, changes the purpose of the said reserve from a reserve for recreation purposes to a reserve for a site for a youth hostel and holiday camp, and appoints the Otago Regional Group of the Youth Hostels Association of New Zealand, Incorporated, to control and manage the reserve, subject to the provisions of the said Act, as a reserve for a site for a youth hostel and holiday camp.

Change of the Purpose of a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby changes the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for plantation purposes to a reserve for recreation purposes.

Reservation of Land and Declaration That Land be Part of the Kaiwaka Park Domain

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for recreation purposes, and, further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, declares the said reserve to be a public domain, subject to the provisions of Part III of the last-mentioned Act, to form part of the Kaiwaka Park Domain to be administered as a public domain by the Domain Board.

Cancellation of the Vesting in the Tuapeka County Council and Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Tuapeka and revokes the reservation for a reserve for gravel purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.
