MARLBOROUGH COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PUBLIC notice is given of the following resolution passed by the Marlborough County Council at a meeting held on 5 April 1963.

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of the annual charges on the Marlborough County Council Office Building Loan 1962, £23,000, authorised to be raised by the Marlborough County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting and furnishing an office building, the said Marlborough County Council hereby makes a special rate of one-twelfth of a penny (½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Marlborough; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-five (35) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WHANGAREI HARBOUR BOARD

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, that the Whangarei Harbour Board proposes, under the provisions of the said Act, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for harbour works, namely, for the erection of dwellings for disposal to workers in the employment of the Board pursuant to section 142A of the Harbours Act 1950.

Notice is hereby further given that all persons affected by the taking of such land who have any well-grounded objections to the taking of the said land must set forth their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Secretary, Whangarei Harbour Board, Quay Street, Whangarei.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Christchurch City Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of Part II of the Housing Improvement Act 1945.

Any persons having any well-grounded objection to the proposed taking should lodge their objections in writing at the offices of the Christchurch City Council, 194 Manchester Street, Christchurch 1, within forty (40) days of the 6th day of April 1963, being the date of the first publication of this notice.

NEW PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Departure from Central Area District Scheme

NOTICE is given, under section 35 (3) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 and Regulation 32 (8) of the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, that the New Plymouth City Council, in exercise of an authority delegated to it under section 35 (6) (b) of the said Act, has consented to Lot 2 on D.P. 4216, and being all the land in C.T., Volume 161, folio 12 (Taranaki Registry), being rezoned as Industrial A, subject to a bond being given to the Council to ensure:

(a) That the said property be transferred to Hooker Bros. Ltd. (hereinafter called “the company”).

(b) That the company cease the present non-conforming use of part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 204, folio 21, within five years.

(c) That the company will, within six years, form and metal the right of way on the land firstly described above in accordance with the conditions prescribed in such consent.

UPPER HUTT DISTRICT SCHEME

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board has consented to an application by R. C. Bradshaw and others to a specific departure from the provisions of clauses 18 (1) (b) and 18 (2) (a) of the Upper Hutt Operative District Scheme by permitting the applicants to subdivide to produce an access way greater than 225 ft in length, subject to the condition that a fire hydrant of the valve type be installed at approximately 300 ft from the entrance of the access way, such hydrant to be connected by a 4 in. main to the 6 in. water main in Chatsworth Road.

WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Change to the Whangarei Borough District Scheme Approved

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that a change, identified as “Code amendment No. 1—Subdivision of land”, to the district scheme, under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 for the Borough of Whangarei was approved by the Council by resolution passed at its meeting held on the 3rd day of April 1963.

The Council has also resolved that the above change to the district scheme shall come into operation on the 16th day of April 1963.

Copies of the scheme change, as approved, have been deposited in the Council’s office and in the public library and may be inspected, without fee, by any person who so requires at any time when these places are open to the public.

TUAKAU BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Public Notification of Changes of Borough of Tuakau District Scheme, also Extension of Closing Date

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Tuakau Borough Council, changes of the Tuakau District Scheme have been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The changes relate to the areas and matter set forth in the Schedule to this notice. Plans, etc., showing the changes of the scheme have been deposited in the Council office, 70 George Street, Tuakau, also the District Land Registrar, Auckland, in accordance with section 22 (1) of the Act, and are there open for inspection, without fee, to all persons interested therein at any time when the above office is open to the public.

Objections to the changes of the scheme or to any part thereof shall be in writing in form E prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, and were to be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than the 29th day of February 1963. At a
