NOTICE OF MEETING OF CREDITORS

In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of Motupiko Stores (1959) Ltd.

NOTICE is hereby given that, by an entry in its minute book signed in accordance with section 362 (1) of the Companies Act 1955, the above-named company on the 1st day of April 1963 passed an extraordinary resolution for voluntarily winding up. Pursuant to section 362 (8) of the Companies Act 1955, a meeting of the creditors will be held at the rooms of Messrs Pickles, Perkins, and Hadlee, Public Accountants, 267 Hardy Street, Nelson, on the 11th day of April 1963, at 11 a.m., at which meeting a full statement of the company’s affairs, together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims, will be laid before the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 285 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be the liquidator of the company and, in pursuance of section 286 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.

Proxies to be used at the meeting must be lodged at the registered office of the company, Main Road, Motupiko, not later than 4 p.m. on the 10th day of April 1963.

NOTIFICATION is hereby given that the partnership hitherto existing between P. L. Berry and C. D. McCredie, patent attorneys, and carried on under the firm name of P. L. Berry and Co., has been dissolved as from 31 March 1963.

The business of the firm’s Wellington office, at Dolphin Building, 296 Lambton Quay (P.O. Box 1811), Wellington, is being carried on as from 1 April 1963 by Colin Douglas McCredie under the firm name of C. D. McCredie and Co.

The business of the firm’s Christchurch office, at T. and G. Building, 190–192 Hereford Street (P.O. Box 1250), Christchurch, is being carried on as from 1 April 1963 by Peter Loftus Berry under the firm name of P. L. Berry and Associates.

INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Airport Terminal Building Loan 1962, £37,500

“THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £37,500 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the Council’s share of the cost of constructing a new terminal building together with all ancillary roading and parking facilities and extending the terminal hardstanding area at Invercargill Airport, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought six eight pence in the pound (0·068d.) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City Council held on Wednesday, 27 March 1963.

PAPATOETOE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Papatoetoe Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a loan of five thousand and eight hundred pounds (£5,800) authorised to be raised by the Papatoetoe Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the purpose for which the Storm Water Drainage Loan 1958, £58,000, was sanctioned, the said Papatoetoe Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought five four one nine pence (0·05419d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Papatoetoe; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan payable on the 1st day of August for each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of seven (7) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

HAURAKI PLAINS COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 the Hauraki Plains County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £50,000 authorised to be raised by the Hauraki Plains County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Hauraki Plains County Council hereby makes a special rate of ⅔d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Hauraki Plains County, comprising the whole of the County of Hauraki Plains; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on the 7th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan during a period of 35 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council held at the County Council Chambers, Ngatea, on Wednesday, 13 February 1963.

ROTORUA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Eastern Area Water Supply Supplementary Loan 1963, £10,500

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rotorua County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £10,500 authorised to be raised by the Rotorua County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the provision of a water supply to the eastern area of the Rotorua County, viz, Lynmore, Owhata, Holden’s Bay, Hannah’s Bay, and lands in the vicinity of these areas, the said Rotorua County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·38805d. (decimal three eight eight nought five pence) in the £ (pound) upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of the Eastern Area Water Supply Special-rating District, comprising the area described in the special roll prepared in accordance with Part II of the Local Authorities Loans Regulations 1957/28 on 15 November 1960, and a plan of the Eastern Area Water Supply Special-rating District deposited in the county office, Amohau Street, Rotorua; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 (twenty-five) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Rotorua County Council held on Tuesday, the 26th day of March 1963.
