Amending Declaration of Land, Waitaki Acclimatisation District, as a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation published in the Gazette, 8 August 1957, No. 58, page 1453, declaring certain lands in the Waitaki Acclimatisation District to be wildlife refuges for the purposes of the Wildlife Act 1953, in so far as the said Proclamation relates to Lake Ohau and watershed, and hereby proclaim and declare the areas described in the Schedule hereto to be wildlife refuges for the purposes of the Wildlife Act 1953.
SCHEDULE

Lake Ohau—All that area in the Canterbury and Otago Land Districts, being Lake Ohau, together with the land included within a line parallel to and 5 chains distance from the shores of the said lake. As shown on plan marked I.A. 46/29/55 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged blue.

Lake Middleton—All that area in the Otago Land District, being Lake Middleton, together with the land included within a line parallel to and 5 chains distance from the shores of the said lake and parallel to and 5 chains distance from the northern, western, and southern shores of Lake Ohau. As shown on the plan marked I.A. 46/29/55 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 28th day of March 1963.

Validating Reclamation in Queen Charlotte Sound and Vesting Reclaimed Land in the Marlborough Harbour Board

PURSUANT to sections 175 and 265 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby validates the reclamation by the Marlborough Harbour Board from the sea in Waikawa Bay, Queen Charlotte Sound, of the lands containing 2 roods 16 perches, more or less, as shown on plan marked M.D. 11469 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, and hereby vests the said land in the Board.

PURSUANT to section 175 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Auckland City Council to reclaim from the sea at Hobson’s Bay, Auckland Harbour, the land edged red on plan marked M.D. 11472 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington.

PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1961, His Excellency, the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
O R D E R
-
That on and from the 1st day of April 1963 the area described in the Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the Borough of West Harbour and included in the County of Waikouaiti.

That the alterations of the boundaries of the said borough and the said county hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Borough of West Harbour containing 650 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the westernmost corner of Section 84, North-east Valley Survey District, and proceeding generally easterly along the southern side of Upper Junction Road to the easternmost corner of Section 6, Sawyers Bay Survey District; thence north-easterly along the production of the north-western boundary of that Section 6 to the middle of the Dunedin-Port Chalmers road; thence generally south-westerly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot B, D.P. 1124; thence north-easterly to and along the south-eastern boundary of Lot B to the south-western boundary of Sawyers Bay Survey District; thence south-easterly along that boundary and its production to the original high-water mark of the Otago Harbour; thence generally south-easterly along that high-water mark to a point on the southern boundary of Section 23, Sawyers Bay Survey District, at Kilgour’s Point at the intersection of that high-water mark with a right line bearing 288° from the nearest angle on the boundary of the area vested in the Otago Harbour Board by the Otago Harbour Board Lands Vesting Act 1910; thence south-easterly along that right line bearing 288° to the boundary of the area vested in the Otago Harbour Board aforesaid; thence generally south-westerly along that boundary on a bearing of 238° 20′, distance 6260 links; thence on a bearing of 207° 30′ to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 13, Upper Harbour West Survey District; thence north-westerly to and along the south-western boundary of Section 13 and along the south-western boundaries of Sections 63 and 2 of 5, Block IX, North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District, to the intersection of the last-mentioned boundary with a right line between Trig. E and northernmost corner of Section 2 of 5 aforesaid; thence north-easterly along that right line to the said north-eastern corner of that Section 2 of 5; thence north-westerly and north-easterly along the south-western and north-western boundaries of Section 2 of 4, Block IX aforesaid, to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 84 North-east Valley Survey District; thence north-westerly to and along that south-western boundary of Section 84 to the point of commencement.
