Approval of Testing Officer Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to regulation 5 of the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby approves of the person named in column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being a testing officer under the said regulations for the authority specified in column 1 of the said Schedule.

Limited Speed Zone Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice that the roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956.*

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Manukau County at Kawa Kawa Bay—

Beach Road (from a point 12 chains measured south-westerly generally along the said road from Coast Road to a point 4 chains measured north-easterly generally along Beach Road from Karaka Road).

Exclusion from Speed Limitation Revoked

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. That the Warrant under section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936, dated the 3rd day of October 1947,* which relates to Te Kauwhata is hereby revoked.

  2. The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Te Kauwhata Town District—

Te Kauwhata - Waitakaruru Road (from the south-western boundary of Te Kauwhata Town District to Travers Road; and from the eastern boundary of Te Kauwhata Town District to a point 4 chains measured easterly generally along the said road from Rimu Street).

Declaring Land Held for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 21st day of January 1963.

PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken subject to the fencing agreement contained in Transfer S. 104847, Auckland Land Registry, for Maori housing purposes from and after the 21st day of January 1963.

PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for Maori housing purposes from and after the 21st day of January 1963.
