Special Conditions
-
A licence issued pursuant to this notification to hunt or kill game shall entitle the holder thereof to hunt or kill game in the Otago Acclimatisation District during the period and subject, mutatus mutandis, to the conditions prescribed in the notification fixing an open season for game in that district.

In the Southland Acclimatisation District not more than four persons shall at any one time hunt or kill or attempt to hunt or kill game over the same set of decoys.

(20) The properties of G. W. and E. C. M. Eaton, Edgar Holdings Ltd., W. F. and R. F. McKee, M. Perwick, and E. C. Hickey, being all that land in the Southland Acclimatisation District bounded by a line commencing at the southernmost corner of Section 12, Town of Balfour, and proceeding thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundaries of Section 12, 11, 10, 9, and part 8, Town of Balfour, Lot 1, D.P. 1956, and Lot 1, D.P. 449, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern side of the last-mentioned lot to the south-eastern side of the Balfour-Ardlussa road; thence north-easterly generally along the south-eastern side of the Balfour to Ardlussa road to its intersection with a line running parallel to, and distant 10 chains from, and to the east of the channel of the Longridge Stream; thence south-easterly generally along the said line to Saleyards Road; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern side of the said road to its junction with No. 94 State Highway; thence south-westerly generally along a right line to and along the north-western boundary of Lot 1, L.T.P. 180, to the westernmost corner thereof; thence south-easterly along a right line to a point on the north-eastern side of the Waimea Plains Branch Railway 10 chains south-east of the Longridge Stream, and that line produced to the south-western side of the said railway; thence south-westerly along a right line at right angles to the said railway for a distance of 15 chains and north-westerly along a right line running parallel to the said railway for a distance of 12 chains; thence north-easterly along a right line to the southernmost corner of part of Lot 3, D.P. 718; thence north-westerly and north-easterly along the south-western and north-western boundaries of the said part of Lot 3 and the last-mentioned boundary produced across a public road and the Waimea Plains Branch Railway to the north-eastern side thereof; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern side of the said railway to the point of commencement. Excluding from the above described land the Waimea Plains Branch Railway, formed roads, Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 5701, Lot 1, D.P. 5516, Lot 1, D.P. 4037, Lot 2, D.P. 5516, and Lot 1, D.P. 1643.

Paradise duck (only in that portion of the left bank and left half, looking downstream, of the Waitaki River which is between the Waitangi Bridge and the riverโs junction with Stony Creek)

Black swan (provided that no person shall take or kill any cygnet or young swan incapable of making a sustained flight)
4 May to 3 June incl.
Pukeko
4 May to 3 June incl.
Canada goose (only in that portion of the Waimate Acclimatisation District which lies to the east of the South Island Main Trunk Railway)

Californian quail

A licence issued pursuant to this notification to hunt or kill game shall entitle the holder thereof to hunt or kill waterfowl, being grey, shoveler (or spoonbill), mallard or paradise duck, black swan, or pukeko or Canada goose, on the right bank of that part of the Waitaki River between the Waitaki Dam and the sea which is within the Waitaki Acclimatisation District during the period and subject, mutatis mutandis, to the conditions prescribed in the notification fixing an open season for those species in that district.

No person shall for the purposes of hunting or killing game build, or attempt to build, or claim, any stand, hide, shelter, maimai, mudhole, loo, louvre, or position before 9 a.m. on 6 April 1963.

A licence issued subject to this notification shall entitle the holder thereof to hunt or kill game on that portion of the flood bed of the Pareora River which lies within the South Canterbury Acclimatisation District during the period and subject, mutatis mutandis, to the conditions prescribed in the notification fixing the open season for that district.
