Reservation of Land and Vesting in the Ellesmere County Council

Pursuant to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for a site for a public hall, and, further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Ellesmere, in trust, for that purpose.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

RESERVE 5171 situated in Block X, Leeston Survey District: Area, 2 roods 31 perches, more or less. Part certificate of title, Volume 366, folio 254 (limited). (S.O. Plan 10059.)

Definition of the Purpose of a Reserve and Vesting in the Waipara County Council

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby defines the purpose to which the public reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall be dedicated as recreation, and, further, vests the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waipara, in trust, for that purpose.

SCHEDULE

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

RESERVE 5168 (formerly Rural Section 31393x and part Rural Section 31392), situated in Block XI, Waikari Survey District: Area, 2 acres and 20 perches, more or less. All certificates of title, Volume 224, folios 253 and 282. (S.O. Plan 9879.)

Declaring Area Exempted from Portions of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962

Pursuant to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962, the Minister of Marine hereby declares that for a period of two years from the date hereof regulation 11 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 shall not apply to jet boats operating on the area of water described in the Schedule hereto, provided that a speed of 5 miles per hour is not exceeded when passing within 100 ft of any other vessel under way or moored or any person bathing or fishing, unless for reasons of safety due to water depth or current it would be dangerous not to exceed that speed.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area of water of the Wanganui River upstream of a line across the river bearing 134° true from the southern corner of the Raorikia Native Reserve.

Amending Notice Declaring Areas to be Access Lanes for the Purposes of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962

Pursuant to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962, the Minister of Marine hereby amends the notice of 17 December 1962* declaring one access lane in Lake Roto Ehu and six access lanes in Lake Rotoiti by substituting for the words “for a period three months from the date hereof”, the words “until 30 June 1963”, and by deleting the description for the access lane at Onepoto Bay, Lake Rotoiti, fifthly mentioned in the Second Schedule to that notice.
