about the exhibition or otherwise: Provided that nothing in
this subclause shall be deemed to deprive any person of any
other payment for the said holiday to which he is entitled
under any Act or award or industrial agreement.

  1. No male under 18 years of age and no female shall be
    employed in or about the exhibition after the hour of
    10.30 p.m.

  2. For the purposes of the enforcement of an award or
    industrial agreement any provision of which has been sus-
    pended by this order, any officer of the industrial union or
    association concerned who is authorised in writing in that
    behalf by the union or association shall be entitled to inter-
    view at his place of employment any person employed in or
    about the exhibition under that award or industrial agree-
    ment at such time or times as may be agreed upon between
    the officer and the employer of that person, and for this pur-
    pose any such officer shall be entitled at any time to have
    access to the Register of Passes issued by the promoter.

  3. Nothing in this order shall be deemed to affect any
    provisions in an award or industrial agreement requiring
    workers subject to the award or industrial agreement to be
    members of a union.

Exempting Land at Ohai (Southland Land District) from the
Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

BERNARD FERGUSSON, Governor-General
PURSUANT to the Coal Mines Act 1925, His Excellency the
Governor-General hereby gives the following notice:

NOTICE

THE land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby exempted
from the operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land containing 132 acres 1 rood, more or
less, being Section 321 (formerly part Sections 211 and 212),
Block IV, Wairio Survey District (S.O. Plan 6979), and being
part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 166, folio 176
(Southland Land Registry), excepting thereout all coal on or
under the surface of the said land.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General this 5th day of March 1963.

Appointments, Extensions of Commissions, Transfers, Termin-
ation of Commission, and Retirements of Officers of the
Royal New Zealand Air Force

PURSUANT to section 15 of the Royal New Zealand Air Force
Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been
pleased to approve the following appointments, extensions of
commissions, transfers, termination of commission, and retire-
ments of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force.

REGULAR AIR FORCE

GENERAL DUTIES BRANCH

Appointment

Graham Edwin Brett (80712) is granted a short-service
commission in the General Duties Branch, Regular Air Force,
for a period ending 17 February 1968 to be followed by four
years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. He is appointed in
the rank of Flying Officer with seniority from 18 February
1961, with effect from 18 February 1963.

Extensions of Commissions

The under-mentioned Flight Lieutenants are granted ex-
tensions of their commissions until the date shown:

Norman John Atkins, B.A. (329989), 9 April 1973.
Robert Charles Howe (927173), 13 November 1969.

Transfer to Retired List

Signals Division

Squadron Leader Reginald Arthur Danrell (70240) is
transferred to the Retired List "A", with effect from 2 April

Appointment

Special Duties Division

Robert Walter Coddington (134240) is granted a commis-
sion in the Administrative and Supply Branch (Special Duties
Division), Territorial Air Force, for a period ending 16
January 1968 to be followed by four years in the Reserve
of Air Force Officers. He is appointed in the rank of Flight
Lieutenant with seniority from 19 June 1955, with effect from
17 January 1963.

RESERVE OF AIR FORCE OFFICERS

Extensions of Commissions

The under-mentioned officers are granted extensions of their
commissions until the date shown:

of Air Force Officers for a period of four years, with effect
from 10 February 1963.

Termination of Commission

The commission of Flying Officer Percy Charles Burrows
(132593) is terminated, with effect from 27 August 1962.

Retirements

The under-mentioned officers are retired, with effect from
the date shown:

Group Captain Arnold Wall, O.B.E., p.s.c. (133518), 11
January 1963.
Flight Lieutenant Arthur Derek Vaughan Atchley (133243),
12 October 1962.
