Amending Boundaries of Land in Waimea County, Nelson Acclimatisation District, Declared to be a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Warrant published in the Gazette, No. 12, of 17 February 1955, at page 246, notifying and declaring an area of land to be a wildlife refuge, and hereby proclaim and declare the area of land described in the Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of the said Wildlife Act.


SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, County of Waimea, containing 151 acres 2 roods 30·9 perches, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the easternmost corner of Lot 3, D.P. 3711, and proceeding south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of the said Lot 3 to its southernmost corner; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of the said Lot 3, that boundary produced across a public road, and along the south-western boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 3711, to the westernmost corner of the said Lot 4; thence south-westerly along a right line to a peg on the south-eastern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 6182, being 45·5 links on a bearing of 35° 26′ from iron tubo CXVIII, S.O. Plan 10090; thence generally north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of the said Lot 3, that boundary produced across a public road, and along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 6182, to a peg 25·0 links on a bearing 63° 27′ from pipe CXXV, S.O. Plan 10090; thence south-easterly along a right line to peg I, S.O. Plan 8332, being a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of part Lot I, D.P. 3711 (C.T. 114/43); thence south-easterly to and along the north-eastern boundary of the said part Lot I to the north-western side of Pughs Road; thence south-westerly along the north-western side of the said Pughs Road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 3711; thence south-easterly to and along the south-eastern boundary of the said Lot 3 to the point of commencement.

Excluding therefrom all the land on D.P. 4560 (C.T. 114/44) and all public roads. As shown on plan numbered 46/29/125 deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Internal Affairs at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. Land to be set aside as a wildlife refuge.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 28th day of January 1963.

Declaring Portion of Takitimu Road in Blocks II and VIII, Takitimu Survey District, Wallace County, to be County Road

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 4th day of March 1963

THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become county road.


SCHEDULE

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that portion of road known as Takitimu Road commencing at a point 2 miles 26 chains from Redcliff Road and proceeding thence in a northerly direction generally for a distance of 2 miles 2 chains through part Section 59, Block II, Takitimu Survey District, and Section 158, being also part Run 176c, Block II, Takitimu Survey District; as the same is shown on plan marked M.O.W. 7150 (S.O. 7031) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured burnt sienna.

All that portion of road known as Takitimu Road commencing at its junction with Redcliff Road and proceeding thence in a northerly direction generally for a distance of 2 miles 26 chains through Lot 2, D.P. 2244, being part of Section 21, Block VIII, and also through part of Section 59, Block II, Takitimu Survey District; as the same is shown on the plan marked M.O.W. 7150 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
