SPRINGS-ELLESMERE ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Springs-Ellesmere Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £150,000, to be known as No. 16 Reticulation Loan 1962, authorised to be raised by the Springs-Ellesmere Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of further reticulating the Springs-Ellesmere Electric Power District, the said Springs-Ellesmere Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of one-eighth (⅛) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Springs-Ellesmere Electric Power District, comprising the whole of the Counties of Ellesmere, Springs, and Paparua, and parts of the Counties of Selwyn, Halswell, and Malvern; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of and a correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Springs-Ellesmere Electric Power Board at the meeting written above.

INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Development and Expansion Loan 1962 of £500,000, Second Issue of £100,000

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £100,000 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of developing and expanding the waterworks, drainage, and street systems of the city, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one seven eight pence (0·178d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the special rate shall be payable on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City Council, held on Tuesday, 26 February 1963.

NAPIER CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION PLEDGING SPECIAL RATE

Storm Water, Conveniences, and General Purposes Loan 1962, £63,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Napier City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of sixty-three thousand pounds (£63,000) authorised to be raised by the Napier City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting conveniences (£14,000), constructing roading in reserves (£2,500), building a kiosk at Westshore (£4,000), improving the city’s storm-water drainage (£15,000), purchasing property for town planning and development purposes (£25,000), and meeting contingencies in connection with the foregoing (£2,500), the said Napier City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal two four four (0·244) of a penny (d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of Napier; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 15th day of August in each year and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TIMARU CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Renewal Loan 1963, £44,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charge on the loan of £44,000, to be known as the Renewal Loan 1963, authorised to be raised by the Timaru City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming at maturity the portions of certain loans due to be repaid in 1963, the said Timaru City Council hereby makes a special rate of two hundred and twenty-four thousandths of a penny (0·224d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Timaru; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 10 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Timaru City Council held on the 25th day of February 1963.

GERALDINE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Geraldine Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £4,250 authorised to be raised by the Geraldine Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing a dwelling for staff purposes, the said Geraldine Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 31/32nds of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Geraldine; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is paid off.”

MOUNT WELLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioner Flats Loan 1961

IN accordance with the provisions of section 47 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the following resolution has been passed by special order by my council:

In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Mount Wellington Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £15,570, to be known as the Pensioner Flats Loan 1961, authorised to be raised by the Mount Wellington Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of construction of pensioner flats, the Mount Wellington Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·011 pence in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of property in the Borough of Mount Wellington; and such special rate shall be an annual-recurring charge during the currency of the said loan and shall be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the said loan for a period of thirty (30) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

OTAGO ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING A SPECIAL RATE

Main Transmission Lines Loan 1962, £57,000

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Otago Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of the principal, interest, and other charges on the Board’s Main Transmission Lines Loan 1962, £57,000, authorised to be raised by the Otago Electric Power Board under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of constructing and erecting 33 kV transmission lines and substations, extending existing substations, further reticulating the Board’s area and meeting costs incidental thereto, the Otago Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twentieth of a penny (1/20d.) in the pound on the capital rateable value of all rateable property within the Otago Electric Power District; and it is hereby further resolved that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said Main Transmission Lines Loan 1962, £57,000, or until the said loan has been fully repaid; and the special rate be and the same is hereby appropriated and pledged as security for the repayment of the said loan and for payment of interest thereon and other charges under the securities to be issued in respect of the said loan.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Otago Electric Power Board held on the 18th day of December 1962.
