BOROUGH OF QUEENSTOWN
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Fire Appliance Loan (1961), £3,500
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and of every other power in that behalf enabling it, the Queenstown Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the principle, interest, and other charges on a loan of three thousand five hundred pounds (£3,500) authorised to be raised by the Queenstown Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing a new fire appliance, the Queenstown Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal one seven one six five (0·17165d.) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Queenstown; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
Given under the common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Queenstown this 4th day of February 1963.

MANAWATU CATCHMENT BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Lower Manawatu Classified Special Area RESOLVED:
"That, pursuant to section 47 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and section 90 and 102 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £33,000, being the fifth issue of the Lower Manawatu Scheme Loan 1954 (£350,000), authorised to be raised by the Manawatu Catchment Board for the carrying out of the works of the Lower Manawatu scheme, the Manawatu Catchment Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of
0·199 pence in the pound on Class A land
0·1331 pence in the pound on Class B land
0·0665 pence in the pound on Class C land
0·0333 pence in the pound on Class D land
0·0133 pence in the pound on Class E land
0·005 pence in the pound on Class F land
on the rateable capital value of all rateable property of the Lower Manawatu scheme area, in accordance with the classification list of the area; and such rate shall be adjusted as required by section 4B of the Valuation Equalisation Act 1957 and shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, or until the loan is fully paid off, and shall be payable in one sum on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan."
The above resolution was passed by the Manawatu Catchment Board at its meeting held on 19 February 1963.

WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL
SECURITY RATE
Pensioners' Cottages (Raleigh Street) Loan 1962, £11,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimairi County Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £11,000 authorised to be raised by the Waimairi County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting accommodation for aged persons, the said Waimairi County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·036818d. (pence) in the £ (pound) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the County of Waimairi; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, that the Whangarei County Council proposes, under the provisions of the said Act, to take the pieces of land described in the Schedule hereto for road.
Notice is hereby further given that a plan of the pieces of land required to be taken is deposited in the office of the said Council situated in Rose Street, Whangarei, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the taking of such land who have any well-grounded objections to the taking of the said lands must lodge their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk, Whangarei County Council, Rose Street, Whangarei.
